Tanaka Farms has gone way down hill. I have been going here for the past 10 years & always loved it. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I was looking forward to spending some time at this pumpkin patch and it was the biggest disappointment this year. They now charge a $2 entrance fee - this is pretty lame considering their pumpkins are already way over priced. The pumpkin patch looked horrible, the scarecrows were so ugly and a most of the pumpkins are flawed. I couldn't find a pumpkin to buy because they were so haggard.
The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, I'm not coming back again.
Love this place! On my trip back from SF I stopped here for lunch & was pleasantly surprised. The food was so delicious. I had camarones a la diabla & my husband had the del mar tacos (halibut) - these both were amazing dishes, the shrimp was cooked perfectly & the sauce is addictive. Service is very friendly. They also have a wonderful salsa bar with about 8 different options, our two favs were the avocado salsa & habanero salsa (very spicy). I wish this place was closer to me, but I would eat here again anytime I'm in Santa Barbara.
RUDEST staff in the world. Avoid this location. Everyone here is lame, from the hostesses, waiters & manager. Food is NOT as good as the SF locations.
The staff here are not happy to help you & they resent their customers - so if you want to be treated like shit because that's your fetish, then come eat here.
The SF locations are amazing, but here you'll get semi soggy pizza because of too much sauce & not a good balance of toppings. Expect to pay an average of $15 for a small pizza that basically only has sauce on it regardless of what you order.
I hope they are able to turn things around here since the SF locations are so good, but they'd have to fire the entire staff to do that...
Great for lunch or a snack if you're starving from walking a few blocks. I like the gyro pita with the white & red hot sauce - it hits the spot! The plate is a good option if you're starving, it's huge so I think 2 people could share it. The red sauce is super spicy, I asked for extra and my mouth was burning - but I still enjoyed it!
This place is pretty original during it's time & it's been copied all over the country. The donuts were decent, but the shop is more of a gimmic than anything. It's in a prime location so it's super busy at all times of the day. I guess if you're looking for a penis shaped donut, come here but of you're looking for super delicious donuts look else where...
WORST Chipotle I've ever been to. Service here is rude & they rush you through even though there isn't a line. Cheapest portions out of any Chipotle - you will literally get HALF the amount of food compared to any other Chipotle, so you are getting ripped off here. They are even cheap with the tortilla chips (I got about 10 chips in the bag). The food is also served cold here. This place has major quality control problems in every aspect of the business.
This location should be shut down or get rid of the staff & management because they are horrible.
AVOID this one at all costs.
There are so many good things to say about Burger Lounge! First & foremost they serve grass fed beef burgers - grass fed beef is honestly the only beef worth eating, it's delicious, lean & actually healthy. They also use organic cheese & here which is a rarity at most restaurants. The fries are great & they go very well with their house made ranch. They also have a custom BBQ sauce, but it has way too much cumin in it, so that's all I taste - they really should call it cumin sauce instead of BBQ. I almost never drink soda, but they serve Maine Root sodas here, which are sweetened with organic cane sugar - so I get the Ginger brew - it's very good & has a spicy kick to it. They are a little more expensive than other burger joints, but the quality of the ingredients are leaps and bounds better that other burger joints - so you get what you pay for.
I started eating at URBN a few years ago, it was so amazing the first few times I ate here - toppings were unique & the crust was great. Recently it has gone way downhill. You either get a soggy mess with cheese and oil dripping all over the place or on the opposite end you can get crust so dry and tough that your jaw will hurt after you eat it. This describes my last two dining experiences here. The people making the pies lately do not know what they are doing - they don't know how to balance the toppings with the crust & the timing in the oven is way off. The salad has always been & still is very delicious - but sorry to say I don't think I'll be eating pizza here again.
One of the best bakeries I have been too. I am a wonderful baker myself so I'm extremely picky with bakery goods. The service is always friendly. The pastries and cookies are divine. The standouts for me: chocolate chew cookie, carmel pecan roll and chocolate brownies. I have also ordered a birthday cake from them and it was wonderful! I had them decorate a Halloween themed cake and their baker/decorator did an amazing job.
This place is awesome! Love the carne asada & chorizo potato gorditas. They run about $3 each & they're a pretty good size so 1 could fill you up or if you're really hungry get the 2 gordita combo. The food is always fresh & piping hot.
