I'll try keep this review succinct -- but I think I may not be able to with as many thoughts as I have.
I'm a Colorado native who has been in LA for 7 years and have been a Broncos fan since the days of the three amigos and John Elway's original drive.
Found a meetup for Broncos fans.
Went for the Seattle Denver game yesterday.
Parking was impossible as this bar is on Lincoln in Marina Del Ray / Venice area. Parking lot was full/ poorly laid out and thus didn't hold nearly enough cars for the space.
My date was at Brennan's earlier that day watching the Ravens game and had her purple on. Let's just say the classless LA Bronco fans came in and started booing anyone who wore something other than Orange. Heckling them the entire time. This was apparently supported by the barkeeps at this establishment.
I of course had the 'correct' colors on but was still disgusted of the treatment I saw of my date and anyone else who walked in with colors other than blaze orange.
The bar was grossly overcrowded for this (admittedly large and very interesting matchup) and the bar was grossly understaffed. One, maybe two waitresses for the entire bar plus three bartenders.
Everyone was standing around waiting for drinks -- I stood waiting to be acknowledged by one of the bartenders for nearly an entire quarter of this game without being so much as nodded at by any of the help.
My date, when she came up to try to get a bartenders attention was verbally accosted by some cowboy hat wearing Giants fan who was apparently a 'regular' with his own TV. Apparently he didn't like the height of my date being in the way of his view of the TV while she was getting a bartender's attention.
The guy actually tried to call over a bartender to complain about her but even he couldn't get them to come over. Nobody had a full beer. It was heinous.
We ended up leaving after being there 45 minutes because we couldn't get a single drink during the Broncos game.
Those facts, coupled with the terrible vibe of the place during the Broncos games which is perpetuated by the help made me embarrassed to be a Broncos fan. We aren't that classless -- this is a POSER BAR with POSER FANS who have no class.
The help is slow and lazy and celebrate their patrons rudeness to others.
I won't be back. This was without a doubt the **worst** bar going experience for a game I've ever had, and I've been all over this country in all kinds of bars. Definitely find a different scene unless you enjoy no class on display. If you like trailer park shit talk, this is the bar for you.
yep, its still 5 stars. perhaps my tastes are changing. I swore since the beginning never to betray the burrito with one of those infernal 'bowls' but alas, at age 34 I have succubed to the need for additional greenery in my diet. Enter, the salad.
I recommend the salad lettuce, brown rice, black beans, double chicken, pico, corn, and cheeze with that super tasty honey vinaigrette dressing that comes with it. What a flavor. Thanks for engaging this aging hipster with a quality permutation of the burrito that isn't a burrito without it's jacket.
I got the 'app' and can order my favorite Chipcoction™ (Copyright 2014 Rance M. F. C.) with a couple of clicks on the device I stare at 62% of the day. Very tempting to make more visits while minimizing the necessity of interacting with humans. God bless you, Chipotle.
This car wash deserves nothing more than a single star. Overpriced for sure and strange up-sells that aren't congruent to area car washes -- not to mention extremely slow.
I paid 90 bucks and was assured my car would be washed and clay bar serviced to completion in 45-60 minutes by the salesman.
He then tried to up-sell me to some $129 plan because otherwise they would 'only use armor all on the dash' and wouldn't clean the seats. Really? For $90 bucks i need to pay another $40 to get some leather spray on my seats? Last time I paid $129 there was a guy who put a buffer on my car, not spray leather conditioner on my seats.
Other car washes will cut you a deal as a part of the up-sell - not here. This car wash didn't budge an inch and quietly hinted that they would do damage to my seats if I didn't pay for the up-sell.
All that aside -- and if we clean the slate and assume they weren't trying to murder my wallet -- how long did it take? I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes. They said 60, I went to breakfast at a diner across the street and still had to sit around for another 45 minutes after I got back. Showed the manager my receipt which says 10:22 am paid and then I got some action because he looked at the clock and it said 12:00. the manager took his dear sweet time finding my vehicle and I finally left at 12:15 pm.
Anywho -- enough complaining. I won't be back. There are better places to go that will finish when they say they will, there are places that will discount you if they are slow, there are plenty of car wash choices in Redondo and this is not one of them.
Debra has now put in more effort to salvage her Yelp perception than she had spent on my entire case.
"If a client needs assistance in gathering documentation, I work with them to facilitate the process."
If by facilitating the process you mean explaining that hourly is $150+ and you weren't interested in taking work, then yes, you have facilitated nicely.
Debbie was a non starter and she left me hanging. I provided signed contracts, retainer as per her instructions the SAME DAY in order to allow her to secure power of attorney quickly -- etc and she is still going to try to say 'service hadn't started'. LOL
Lady, if you hadn't screwed me I wouldn't be here giving you a 1 star review. Had you DONE your JOB and taken care of your client who signed contracts and provided payment the SAME DAY you asked for it, then you would have a 5 star review.
Sadly, the Yelp definition of a 1 star review is accurate as it pertains to my experience with Debbie. "Eek! Methinks not."
Debbie cares more about her Yelp profile than developing long term relationships with South Bay clients.
Are you a musician? Looking for some quality Hi-Fi listening? This is the place. No need to explain, just go.
For the musician with discerning tastes. 2/3 Jazz & R&B, 1/3 Rock and a taste of randoms. Great for me, I like Edgar Winter and Tower of Power. I found them both here. Alan Parsons Project? Only the best Original Master Pressing available, for only $20. Great place.
It's been a while since I've been down there. But I'm a Speed3 Owner with lots of Cobb bolt ons. Shoutouts to Ant, he did me good and I haven't had to go back because my Speed3 is so aptly dialed in thanks to his advice.
This is the shop for you if there's an AccessPort available for your car. Top notch, clean shop, parts in stock.
The Green Burrito here is where it's at. I call ahead and take out usually.
The food is a little over salted generally but it's a good change of pace from other mexican joints in the area. The name is accurate as it is 'americanized' mexican.
The waitresses are for some reason SUPER FLY. I have no idea how they got such cute friendly smart amazing girls working there, but they did it. Now if only the place was busy enough for them to make the right kind of money to be happy to see the customers... ;)
Seriously though, try the green burrito or the El Diablo burrito. If you like the challenge of a 'big burrito' you'll enjoy El Gringo. By the way, they have other food than just burritos too :)))
This place is as good as it gets! The prices are great, you can call ahead, and since this is only a few blocks from my place I can call ahead and get right into the car and by the time I'm at the window it's ready.
Great service, the best 'cheap' Mexican food in Redondo. Ranchero sauce on the enchiladas is to die for.
This year was great. Though the bartenders were different the atmosphere was just as good. more active karaoke crowd but its a big place and there's room for everyone to hang.
New covered patio since you can't smoke inside anymore. They upgraded to comply with the law, props. Though I do miss sitting at a bar and smoking.
Chris went out of his way to find ways to bring us in while we were in town and for that I thank him. It was another great couple of weeks down at the Summer Time hang!
PS Nasty Nate is still runnin' shit, and I got to tip him this year with a Lets Get Nasty T-Shirt. Too bad he's not a Spurs fan lol!
