This was probably one of the most disappointing lunch experiences.

I ordered an All American Burger with mayo, cheese, and avocado (which were extras). Although it came with a free side, the whole "meal" was about $18. $18 for a slider. If I didn't order the extras, I would have had a kid-sized burger barely dressed with a paper thin slice of tomato and one negligible leaf of lettuce. What made this especially frustrating was that it tasted good but I was finished within 3-4 bites. It left me wanting more. However, I could not justify spending another $18 to feel remotely satiated.

      I left sad and hungry.

For years I didn't see a dentist due to previous unpleasant experiences, lack of $$$ and no dental insurance.

I started seeing Dr. Ganesh in 2011 after seeing a Groupon special and looking at some yelp reviews. After the initial consultation, I realized how much work I needed done due to the lack of regular dental cleanings and maintenance. Fortunately, he presented me with a detailed treatment plan and options. He gave the pros and cons of each possible situation and let me make the decisions with no pressure.

      Things worth noting:
      1. Nice atmosphere with friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. I always get a reminder call before each appointment. There was never an issue if I needed to reschedule or cancel.

      2. Treatment plan usually includes a list of each prospective procedure and the estimated costs. Dr. Ganesh is always clear and upfront about each procedure and is more than happy to answer any questions.

      3. Billing is flexible. I'm a cash patient and I was able to pay for my procedures in monthly installments. The staff always gives you call each month before they charge your credit card.

      4. I've had deep cleanings, wisdom teeth removal, a root canal, and fillings.
Basically, I've had everything on the menu. But each procedure was relatively stress free. Dr. Ganesh always makes sure you're as comfortable as possible. He also takes the time to explain what he is doing so you know what's going on. But, if you would rather zone out he has headphones available so you can listen to music.

      5. Dr. Ganesh is easily accessible. Whenever I made a phone call or sent an email, he always answered my questions within 24 hour period.

All in all, I've had very positive experiences with Dr. Ganesh and his office.

      Crisis and panic attack averted.

I noticed this morning that my precious Lenovo was infected by some malware.

My work is completely dependent on my laptop, so I rushed over to the Tech Studio. I was surprised when it was fixed in less than 5 minutes. I nearly squealed in delight.

      Things worth noting:

      1. Street parking can be rough on Abbott Kinney. Try to find a spot in nearby neighborhoods or pull up for quick curbside assistance.

      2. They have an adorable doggy mascot who loves customer attention. YOU MUST PET HER.

      3. The tech guys are all about customer service. Super friendly. Very relaxed. Incredibly professional.

      4. If you have a virus/malware problem, they will fix it and provide free software to protect your computer if your current anti-virus program is insufficient.

      5. They can fix your computer remotely if you're out of town on business and have a computer emergency.

      6. For most problems you can drop off the computer and get it back within 1 to 2 days. I was lucky that my problem was fixed so quickly.

2 enthusiastic thumbs up. You guys have a customer for life.

      Hat einen Yelp Deal gekauft

Ooooooooh snap! I think I might be hooked.

I've always wanted to learn self defense and get a killer work out at the same time. It just took me forever to get around to it because I was worried about my lack of experience and questionable coordination. But I saw a Yelp deal and thought that it wouldn't hurt to try out a few personal training sessions before completely diving in.

      Things worth noting:

      1. Emily and Erik are the shiznit. Fo serio.

      2. Refer back to #1

      3. For Muay Thai you need gloves and hand wraps. If you don't have them, they have the equipment for sale on site. Or, if you're not sure, you can borrow gloves and buy the hand wrap for $10. Totally reasonable.

      4. HUGE parking lot. Do you have any idea how rare that is in LA?

      5. They have evening group classes during the week and day classes on Saturday. $150 per month for unlimited classes (me thinks). A really good deal.

      6. You can hear the theme from The Karate Kid in the background while working out. How could you NOT get pumped?

      7. Highly addictive: I leave each session feeling tired as hell but uber refreshed at the same time. Emily and Erik are great instructors with a laid back and positive attitude. This relaxed approach is great because you're actually having fun while working out. Plus you feel eerily compelled to work out harder than you normally would on your own volition.

      8. Got a significant other? Want to do something together? They do couples training. Hellz yeah.

Two enthusiastic thumbs up. Can't wait to start another session...

      You're the best!

      Around!

Nothing's gonna ever keep you down ....

Pure love for Rendezvous and the staff.

Came here to escape the daily grind with my fiance on Thanksgiving weekend, and boy... was it a treat.

      Things worth noting:

      1. We were in the TV Room. The jacuzzi in the bathroom can easily fit two people and liquor. The room also came with the complete I Love Lucy DVD set to watch. Mini-tv-marathon anyone?

      2. Although the Rendezvous is notorious for their signature Rendez-blue cocktails, they recently expanded their drink offerings! One night was the Rendez-blues, the other night consisted of Peach-mango-y margaritas. Did I mention there were free refills? SCORE.

      3. Their breakfasts are the shiznit. It's beyond the buffet table of cold cereal, milk, and muffins. My favorite breakfast by far was the berry fruit smoothie, fruit and granola parfait, with the chili egg puff. The portions were great and the flavors were balanced. Add some sunshine with outdoor seating, and voila... you've got the perfect morning start.

      4. The staff knows how to hook... you... up. Inside your room you have a handy dandy notebook with all the recommended local restaurants with the ability to order delivery. They even have menus in their community lounge area so you can peruse before making a decision. The staff also have tram tickets if you want to hit up the tramway. I highly recommend it since it'll save you the hassle from standing in line at the tramway office.

      5. Ambiance: total oasis. The B&B is designed to take you away from society. The enclosed space keeps you away from traffic/people but you still have gorgeous views of the mountains. The pool is heated year round, so you can take a dip anytime. Oh... did I mention pool toys? YES. Toys, floaties, umbrellas, and towels to use as you please.

      6. Cool gatherings. In the evening, everyone pops out for cocktails and appetizers. We don't know each other, and yet we gather round the fire pit or hot tub to chat, eat, and imbibe. And with the positive vibes emanating from this place, the sense of community fun can last for hours. It's kinda neat.

I would probably keep on ranting about how great this place is, if I could. But, I'll exercise some restraint and stop. And you... you should stop reading this review. Right now. You're wasting precious time. You could be making reservations right now.
