Thoroughly average pizza at a relatively high price point. With so many other pizza options in San Carlos I wouldn't recommend Applewood on the merits of its pizza alone (this was a delivery order).
John listened to what we wanted, told us what he recommended, and then designed the perfect pool and spa for our yard. He was very collaborative and worked hard to bring it all together and make sure we had a pool he was proud to have built and we were delighted to own. I really couldn't be happier.
We needed a local plumber who could come in and help out our contracter at the last minute with a tough job. Gary's number was (literally) at the top of the list I gave him. The contracter recognized his name and said he was great to work with. We called him, he came out the same day to survey the scene and assess the work that needed to be done and the next day it was finished just as planned. Top notch, honest, efficient.
Through regular check ups and emergency visits for knocked out teeth, Dr. Lee and his staff have been readily available, happy to help, kind and comforting to the kids. We're satisfied customers, and plan on keeping our teeth in this office (metaphorically, anyway) for many years to come!
The banana coconut macadamia nut pancakes are very good, although the portion is a bit large. By "a bit large" I mean that even the short-stack is more food and calories than I deserve as a non-farm laboring human being. The coffee is a little too weak for my tastes, but it's not horrible.
The service is generally very good to excellent - efficient and attentive, and always friendly.
it is pricey, though, so it's a little painful to get the bill if you're on a budget.
The pizza is average at best. Bland crust with generic sauce - not much for taste or texture, the combination of which is really what makes a pizza great. Still, I'd have lived with the average pizza, but the manager/owner was dropping the F-bomb at the top of his lungs while I was there with my kids for lunch buffet, and that completely tanked my opinion of this place. While I understand getting frustrated on the phone (with Direct TV, if I heard correctly) his behavior was pretty unprofessional considering the time of day and number of kiddos present.
I'll take my business elsewhere, thanks.
This was a great show, especially fun for my daughters. The horses were beautiful and spirited and the human acrobats very accomplished. It was a bit expensive, but most live shows are. There were mistakes amidst the performances, where one horse might chomp at the bit or veer off in the wrong direction, but I thought that actually added a bit of excitement to the show. These horses aren't whipped into dulled submission, they are still just a tiny bit wild at heart.
Good band, too (some songs were stronger than others, but the musicianship was top notch - great rhythm section).
