Pretty good place with garlicky boiled shrimp.
Deep fried mushrooms were fine.
The fried chicken wings was really delicious and crispy.
I could come here again if I am craving creole shrimp stuff.
Staff was friendly and helpful in helping me decide what to order.
Price was fair and expected. Two moderate eaters cost $30.
Cute place, pretty busy.
Had their bun rieu and it is the first place I enjoyed it as close as I can to my parents' recipe.
Staff was nice and friendly. Our server cracked a joke with us and put food all for the lady and left my boyfriend alone and hungry.
The pho was delicious too. Everything such as the vegetables looked fresh as well.
I'd come back again and again.
Wow, with the line outside (on a Friday at 6:30pm) I thought this place was a delicious steakhouse. It's quite a casual place. Nice set up with big bar area.
Food was 3 star. Steak tasted a bit bland, did not come with a sauce but you can order a side of sauteed mushrooms. The baked potato was prepared table side with the fixin's to order by your server. It was actually better tasting than the steak.
Staff was quite friendly, not sure if they were understaffed that day but our server missed a lot of things with our meals as well as requests (salad with meals never came, booster seat, refills, one of our late guest arrived and received his food before his beverage). Needless to say, my party was busy on getting our requests as opposed to enjoying our meal.
Decor was cute and cozy (Tahoe theme). Outside dining was nice, slightly cramped.
I would consider somewhere else for steak.
Love that this wine spot has a "wine tasting" built into their menu. Quite pricey, but nice vibe here at the bar area. I'm not too sure there are any sommeliers/wine steward. I didn't feel like I received a nice summary of our wines, but oh well. I'm not a wine snob, but I've had better.
Staff/bartenders were nice and attentive. Not pushy.
Ordered red and white wine tasting, a flight of beer, and the cheese and meat plate. It was pretty good. Quite expensive.
There were 4 cheeses and 4 different types of meat/salami/prosciutto which was enjoyable with the wine.
I'd come back here if I was in the area.
I go to BJ's all the time. You come here because you know what you're going to get (service, type of food, quality of food, beer choices).
Sure enough, it was just that. It is possible that extra ice cream scoops for pazookie desserts are free..so that made me happy.
No food review here.
I'm not much of a French dipped sandwiches fan. But I enjoyed it here.
I stuck with the classic beef with potato salad and cheese cake. They were all delicious. Their hot mustard sauce (already at table corners) makes the meal even more delicious.
The potato salad is pretty good with a moderate amount of mayo/dressing.
I love that their lemonade and iced tea drinks are just under $1. Serving size is probably 10 ounces (small).
Lines can be long, but for the most part, it moves a fair amount.
Staff is nice. Place for a quick lunch or dinner.
Price for a couple with a full meal (2 sandwiches, 2 sides, 3 drinks, 1 pickle, 1 dessert) came out to $25.
I'd come back if I was in the area..wouldn't go out of my way though (strictly personal preference anyway).
I love hot pot in most forms. This place has 5 broths to choose from and the half/half is the best choice. The broth is very flavorful and perfect for slurping with different level of spiciness choices.
Every food item is an average $4-6. It sounds expensive, but the quality and quantity is quite worth it. The prime beef was really good, but an extra $5 for it might make me change my mind next time.
The raw leafy vegetable portions are good for 3-5 people. The pumpkin had about 10 slices which was just a bit more than enough for two people.
The shrimp and beef balls here were ok.
There are 4 different delicious sauces (including chili paste) to choose from.
The service is really great. The staff is nice and attentive. The place is clean and comforting.
A bill for a couple who eats moderately and drinks alcohol moderately was approximately $65.
Nothing much to complain about. I would come back.
I was introduced to ER for their wine tastings on Tuesdays - 3 for $15 (5-8pm) and I have been hooked.
There are so many different wines here..it is really lovely! I asked Elliott for a nice Riesling and he immediately pointed out a couple of bottles based on my preference for taste and price. Very friendly.
As for the tasting, I am a newcomer to wine tasting, but you just walk in to the left side of the shop with the bar and it is only standing room. It can get quite busy, but just wiggle your way to an empty spot at the counter and your tasting starts there.
When you're finished, you pay at the register on the other side of the room.
If you desire more after your 3 tastings, you can pick out a bottle of wine and they will crack it open for you to enjoy or they have a few on "tap" which they can pour a glass for you.
The pairings on Tuesdays are accompanied by community cheeses, crusty bread, olives (Castelvetrano) and salami.
There is also a food truck outside "Heirloom LA" where you can purchase gourmet type food and bring it in the shop to pair with your wine.
I won't stop coming here, even though there are several closer wine tasting locations to me. The feel is really comfortable and the location makes me feel like I'm in the "city".
It's pretty casual, but sometimes the crowd is quite classy.
Free 90 minute parking in the structure north of the shop.
Pretty delicious! Came here with the suggestion of a friend. I was not disappointed.
We did a combo platter with several other side dishes.
The servers come by and switch out your hot grill/plates based on the type of meat you have. They also came and checked up on us several times to flip our meat.
The servers were really attentive and sweet. The quality of the food appears really great and there was nothing I could point out that was concerning or disappointing.
The parking lot is right in front of the restaurant and quite small. I believe it is only valet or street parking (went here on a Wednesday night).
We also got complementary probiotic drinks (2 oz) at the end of our meal.
I would come back.
I love shabu and it always surprises me that some people give poor ratings because you have to cook your own food. So take note, shabu shabu is for "swish swish" meaning you dip your [raw meat] food in a simmering flavorful broth of your choice and eat at your own pace.
I've eaten at many shabu places and this one is a keeper. Coming here, I always know what to expect and it hardly fails to meet my expectations in taste and service.
Price can range about $20-25/person for a lavish meal (alcohol, apps, kobe feast).
I usually get the kobe or beef combination which comes with a plate full of yummy raw veggies to cook as well.
Service is friendly and quite efficient. I did not feel rushed. The restaurant felt cozy, clean and comfortable.
There is usually a wait on weekend nights.
I would come here again, and again, and again..even when there is a wait.
