When we first got there the place was packed (good sign, right?) The hostess was very friendly and seated us after a short wait. Our waitress was very friendly and good throughout our visit.
Food was average at best. One of the persons at our table had potatoes as a side, but some of them were rotten.
Before going we viewed their drink menu on their webpage (casarod.com/casa_rodrigu…) and saw their margaritas were $3.50. When we ordered, the waitress told us they were $4.99. We showed her their webpage on an IPhone and she took it to the manager. The manager said that was only for wine-based margaritas (*clearly NOT indicated on their webpage drink menu)
-Staff (except for manager): friendly
-Food: bad (because of the rotten potatoes)
Once is enough! Don't waste your time or your money. Our service was very poor. The waitress acted like it was a bother to take our order much less wait on us the time we were there. Food was below average. Ordered a shaved steak sandwich that came with about half as much meat as you would expect. The "English Baked Beans" side was nothing more than canned pork and beans.
Food was fair, but....
Service was poor. Our waiter was more interested in watching the soccer game on tv than waiting his tables.
No quality control on cleanliness. One fork on the table had dried food on it. When we got another fork/knife set from a neighboring table, the knife had dried food on it.
A Shreveport Police Officer recommended Copeland's to us. Really good food! Our waiter, Tommy, was outstanding. My favorite of the meal was the Crawfish Bread.
Like some others, we were excited about the new IHOP that just opened in Bryan. Our food and service was good, but one of our second drinks (soft drink) was served in a dirty glass (appeared to have milk or milk shake residue). The management was very apologetic and gave us $10 off our next visit. Too bad we won't be able to use it since the lack of cleanliness will keep us away.
My wife and I ate at Hullabaloo's three times this past week. Once as a treat for out of town guest; once for a social event; and finally just dinner with one of our sons. We were very satisfied with each of our visits.
I've had the Chicken Fried Steak sandwich, the bleu cheese burger, a basil-chicken pizza, and the cheesecake. You won't leave there hungry because the portions are big.
Their french fries and their pizzas are very good.
Pretty good for lunch.
My wife and I had the Steakhouse burger. Not bad.
The Spinach Artichoke dip wasn't the best weve had.
The service was very good. The manager, Bill, and our waitress, Danielle, were very nice.
