I don't get the hype. The service is horrible and the food lacks flavor. If you want authentic Thai food this is not the place for you. I tried this place 3 times before writing this review to ensure that my take on this place was correct.
My husband brought me here for a late spur of the moment dinner. We enjoyed a beautiful bottle of Iron Horse Cab. After a perfectly prepared appetizer of calamari and entrees of seafood pasta and chicken Milanese we thoroughly enjoyed desert and espresso. Couldn't be happier with the excellent service and the delicious fresh food. This will definitely be our new go to spot. Also worth mentioning is that the menu is well put together and everything sounds mouthwatering.
First, I will talk about the service that the staff provides here. They are courteous, friendly and everyone smiles at you and makes you feel welcome during your time there.
Second - the food:
I am so thrilled that I got to have lunch here this weekend since they recently added food to the menu along with their extensive list of beverages (including Italian sodas in various flavors, coffee drinks and teas) and desserts. Their menu is creative and although I am not a vegetarian I was enthralled with the delicious options available. I ended up having "The Farmer" sandwich which was roasted veggies, arugula, honey mustard and goat cheese on a whole wheat ciabatta and a side of their delicious potato salad. This is no ordinary sandwich, each ingredient is high quality and the preparation of the ingredient is done with care. This sandwich was so much more than I ever expected.
I had my first date with my husband here and we hope to continue coming back here to be amazed by their creativity.
This review is long overdue. O'Lavrador's food, especially their Paelha Marinheira has consistently been outstanding over the years. Their food is authentic, the atmosphere is friendly and their presence is much appreciated in the neighborhood The calamari, clams, shrimp in garlic sauce, chicken, sangria and desserts are mouth watering. Can't wait to go back!
I started going to Leon for haircuts in college and I never had a bad experience. I always left his chair extremely satisfied with my hair. Even more impressive is that weeks and weeks later it still looked great. This is because he is a truly skilled and talented artist. I lost touch with him for some time now but i am absolutely thrilled he has opened this salon and I am so looking forward to paying him a visit. If you want perfection this is the place for you.
Still incredibly happy with Dr. Shaw. Today is Monday. I went to him on Thursday of last week and already he has emailed me with a rundown of my labs and an offer to send me my full report and to forward a copy to my specialist. Wow - I've never heard of doctors being this responsive. Truly one of a kind. So happy that he is moving closer to my office.
I decided to have the vodkaya sauce on my pasta of their choice. For toppings I chose the mozarella, fresh tomatoes and the red pepper flakes. I also got a dessert and a drink so that I would be able to redeem the coupon I got over the summer. It was so much yummier that I ever expected. The vodka sauce was delicious, creamy and high quality. Surprisingly the white mousse dessert with strawberries was incredibly tasty. I'm not sure if the fact that I was really hungry contributed to my love of this place but it was a whole lot better than I ever expected and I will most certainly be returning.
It was just okay. I wish the fish was fresher. They seem to spend a lot of time and effort on the presentation of the plates but I feel that the quality is lacking. The special rolls that were recommended were nothing special.
I was really looking forward to going here but I have to say that it was not worth the $80.00 per person that we had to shell out. A small filet of salmon that was oversalted and luke warm when it arrived to the table cost $34.00 and here you are required to order your side dishes separately. The service was mediocre as well since we practically had to flag down the wait staff in order to get some attention. Next time I will try City Lobster across the street as recommended by other reviewers.
So I went back for lunch today with my coworkers to celebrate our Aries birthdays. What an experience. I just came back and I feel at peace after having a wonderful meal prepared by Chef Yasuda himself. He had a great sense of humor and skilled, quick talented hands. Our sushi was prepared by a true perfectionist that is completely in tune with the human pallet. I will never look at sushi the same way. Today I had the spanish mackerel, blue fin tuna, whitefish, orange clam, artic char, tazmanian trout, fluke. I also ordered 2 special items - the east coast uni and the oyster. :-)
You have not really had sushi until you've had Sushi Yasuda.
