Umm... it definitely took me long enough to make it out here considering it's so close by.

Was slightly skeptical about the hot Cheetos popcorn chicken but heard some good things so we had to give it a try. Doesn't taste like hot Cheetos but definitely has the spicy kick. The cream cheese dip makes it even better.

Will be back to try the drinks and other snacks !

If there was a way to rate someone/something more than 5 stars, Denise and her work definitely would still exceed all expectations.

I first started getting tattoos with Denise in 2015, almost when she first started. My friend was looking for someone to work on his pieces and I tagged along for the journey. Soon I had appointments set up for myself for various pieces. Over the past 3 years, it has been so much fun seeing what new pieces Denise has been working on with her other clients.

From design to shading and colors, size, placements and everything in between, Denise is not only honest with her opinion but also extremely meticulous with her work. She will take the time to make sure every line and stroke is perfect before completing a tattoo. Denise is also extremely patient and professional. I can be quite indecisive at times and only have a rough idea of what I want, but she has always been willing to take the time to discuss the various design elements until the finished product is perfect. She's the only person I would trust to freehand finish my tattoos true story.

I've had tattoos from other artists before and nothing compares to working with Denise. You can chat with her about anything/everything. She is so easy to get in touch with and has been accommodating to my occasionally crazy schedule . I can also personally attest that she has an extremely steady hand even when you're having a hard time laying still - we watched Baby Cobra during one of our sessions.

Tl;dr - Denise is worth every penny !

don't let the trendy lounge vibes and semi loud music fool you. it's basically a pricey fresh juice bar with food.

also definitely not the spot you're looking for if you want a quiet environment but they do have lots of table space for wfh and hanging out.

If you don't order the taiyaki cone, what was the point of even coming to uji time?

The wait however can be a big deterrent. Aside from the line to place your order, depending on how far along the next batch has been prepped, you could wait an additional 15-20 minutes for your cone to be finished.

Black sesame and matcha are my go to flavors but am interested in trying out the tofu next time. There's also seasonal flavors - which is currently strawberry rose.

I do prefer the Berkeley location over Japantown. There's much more seating and a larger menu.
