I always come here to get my pants/jeans altered. I don't care too much about dry cleaning since I can get that done anywhere, but I've had nothing but good experiences when I get my clothes altered here. My jeans always come back perfect with the original bottom part of the hem (not sure how to explain it), but it's awesome!
They don't seem to speak very good English, but since I speak Korean to them mostly (a very nice old Korean couple), I can't really comment on that.
The valets will let you park your car for free while you go drop off your clothes, or pick up stuff.
I used them back when I moved in July and had totally forgotten to give them a review!
I used a yelp coupon, which was nice, and had a very good experience with them! They came right on time, very professional, clean, hardworking young guys ready to get crakin'.
They moved all my stuff with great care, and very briskly. Even their manager came around to check on how everything was going! Great stuff overall.
Things were moved. Nothing broke. Didn't take more than 3 hours total to move quite a bit of furniture (I moved all my small stuff ahead of time). And the price was just right! I would definitely recommend them for your ease of mind. Great moving company!
I am secretly hoping that this place won't get TOO popular (I have no idea why they have 3.5 stars, but hey, less crowded am I right?). But I think they still deserve my full 5 stars.
Been here twice, and both times I have been blown away by the pasta served here. All super delicious, super fresh hand made pasta. I'm really really looking forward to going there again!
It's a small restaurant, so I wouldn't recommend coming here with more than 3 other people. Also reservations are a must!
Parking is a bit tricky, but there IS a valet, just have to look extra hard for that sign semi-hidden behind Goldie's valet.
This review is for the doctors to see, especially Dr. Sahakian. Please do not ignore this as some random negative review. If no action is taken, it will only continue to degrade the clinic's reputation out in the yelp community.
My girlfriend started going to his clinic some time ago and has been very bothered by the office staff here. The support staff dealing with billing and appointments especially. They will always give her attitude, and she has been billed MULTIPLE times wrongly. She has an insurance plan in which the clinic is part of the network, but she has gotten 3 consecutive billings saying it's out of network and billing her over a THOUSAND dollars!! If she hadn't called the insurance company (which by the way took hours - combining all 3 times), and disputed the billing, she would have had to pay HUGE amounts of money because of the incompetence of the nurses.
When these oversights were communicated to the staff, not only did they not even listen, they gave her sass and attitude and dismissed her complaints (obviously because they kept doing it wrong). This is not chump change we are talking about, medical bills are SERIOUS business. It's very stressful to see bills outstanding for HUNDREDS of dollars at a time, when they should have been fully covered by insurance. I don't know if this was a scheme from the fertility center to get more money, trying to make people pay out of the inconvenience of disputing the claims, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now, since fraud is a very serious accusation.
Also, it doesn't stop just there. My girlfriend would always emails them in advance whenever any appointments had to be rescheduled due to her demanding schedule, as she always does this days in advance. HOWEVER, these people would keep calling her, multiple times a day trying to "confirm" her appointment, when in fact she has rescheduled DAYS if not WEEKS ago. How is this ok?!? I understand the clinic may be busy, but that is UNPROFESSIONAL. It's not just a waste of time and money for the doctors (they could be scheduling patients in that free time!!!!), but it's also a HUGE waste of time to keep getting calls for something that should have been a semi-automatic change in the scheduling. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to read an email and shift an appointment time.
PLEASE do a THOROUGH review of your office staff. Even if the doctors are fantastic and wonderful, these supporting staff at the front desk are the FACE of the clinic, and the first and last people patients will interact with on a DAILY basis.
P.S. (4 stars for the doctors, but 1 star for the staff)
We needed to get a smog check quickly on a sunday and this place came up. It was super quick and super easy. It came up to 30 w/ the check in plus 10 dmv filing fee. Definitely will recommend to everyone!
Also, theres a car wash so its perfect if you need to wait while other cars get it done.
Meh. Coffee was... I think good?
I ordered a "prosciutto" panini for brunch. And what did I get? A ham sandwich... Do they think people don't know what prosciutto means? I didn't pay $15 to eat a nasty ham/turkey sandwich that looks like it came out of the discount oscar mayer section of the supermarket. I've definitely had better, pretty much anywhere else.
I've been here a couple of times. For happy hour mostly (which is really great). I love their happy hour menu and their drinks. Their angus sliders are one of the best tasting sliders I've had for only $5!! They're juicy, tender and cooked to your liking (medium rare ftw!). Sometimes there's this one bartender who also makes killer mojitos (sadly, not all the time)...
Then, I came here for lunch two times, and it definitely left me disappointed. The first time, I came to try their prix fixe menu (soup, prime rib, and dessert), but found out they had run out of prime rib in the middle of lunch rush...so I had to get the chicken, which was very average tasting.
The second time, I ordered the lunch portion rib eye, medium rare. The meat came almost well done, seasoning was very lacking and bland. All in all I left very disappointed and thought I wouldn't come back for steak here again.
However, I had the chance to go again, when my gf's mom was visiting LA. We decided to have dinner near where I worked so I thought Morton's would be a good choice considering the nice, elegant, quiet atmosphere down at the restaurant, and boy was I surprised with their steaks! This time the steaks were near perfect. Juicy, flavorful and cooked to perfection! Maybe they have different cooks during lunch time, or maybe they do not put as much effort into it when it's not the full price menu. I don't know what it is, but it seemed like a totally different restaurant during dinner time! Anyway, we had some oysters, onion soup and salad, each very good and well balanced. And proceeded to eat our delicious steaks, paired with an excellent bottle of Argentinian red wine recommended by our waitress.
All in all it was a five-star experience for dinner, but I'll be taking one star away because of their lackluster performance during lunches.
P.S. They really take their time explaining the menu during dinner. It takes some time, but it's definitely a nice touch and a bit entertaining.
Orsini...what to say first.
My roommate's car got stolen right under their noses in our own parking lot. However, the management didn't seem to care in the least. They didn't even send out a notice to the other residents about the incident nor did they try to help us out in any way. There was some security footage which they REFUSED to show because of "policies" and would not release it even if it meant helping us out to find a stolen car.
The front door people will let just about anyone in. I wouldn't be surprised if homeless people were living in the lobby at this point. I see people inside the apartment building walking around that I can tell do NOT live here. I mean why do we even have a security guard, might as well just make it a combination lock so that people who are actual guests of the apt can get in.
In the end. We found the car. you know where? Inside our own parking lot... someone who lives here probably stole it, took everything inside it, left for a week, and put the car back in some random spot inside the apt building in front of someone else's spot. This one guy started parking behind the stolen car (they threw out the license plate) and didn't even bother to report it for 3 WEEKS!!!
Now I'm afraid to keep living here, because of the apparent quality of people who live here in the apt. Who knows what will happen next. arson? rape? murder? I wouldn't be surprised if Orsini didn't give a sh** about any of these happening right under their noses.
Orsini didn't even apologize for this, and is not doing absolutely anything regarding their security issues.
Thanks Orsini, you cost us 5 grand in insurance and rental car costs.
I really cannot understand when people say this is the BEST Mexican place they've been to. Maybe it's understandable after being exposed to a lifetime of Taco Bell, Del Taco, Chipotle and whatnot. But having lived in Mexico City for over 16 years, I was less than impressed with this place. I would say the food was average, or maybe even below average for my taste.
I could get better tacos at a street stand in the dirty streets of Tijuana (and I don't even like going to TJ). And it's just ridiculous that you have to pay extra money to get salsa, onions or cilantro. That's just not the way a taco place should operate.
I think the only good (or just above average) thing that I could find about this place, is how late it opens until. That's pretty much it.
Oh and just fyi, no one eats "carne asada" tacos in Mexico. It's not even called that way.
I went today to get my car washed, because it had been forever since I had waxed or clayed my car (I do it myself most of the times) and I didn't have the time or place to do it.
So I drove down the 10W, got off overland, and quickly found the car wash. Since it was a Thursday afternoon there weren't many cars there (which was a relief). I got off, took out my coupons and paid for the Clay Detail Package
It took about 1 hr 15 mins to get my car hand washed (by 4 people!), clayed, and waxed and I've gotta say every minute I waited was worth it.
My car has NEVER been THIS smooth after claying it (i'm must learn from them...). And I will definitely be coming back for some quick washes (claying + waxing is def. not cheap) and the occasional detailing.
P.S. they shampooed my mats too! (which I didn't know was included)
