I would give this a four star rating, but after realizing that this hotel was in the perfect location and had a great night sleep, I decided that this hotel was worthy of a five-star rating.
The breakfast was good - Loved the fact that it was not just pastries, it had a hot breakfast. The room was very spacious and it looked like the place had did some remodeling as of late. The lobby area looks great! Overall, our stay was great and we expect to be back.
The only cons to hotel were just very minor:
TV remote not working (then again, we were in Disneyland all day!)
Housekeeping - they seem to do it toward the late afternoon. However, we didn't make any mess and didn't really need housekeeping.
Okay, I was skeptical about this. But once I got in and noticed the ambiance of food and drinks, it was spectacular!
Nachos, sliders, beer, soft drinks, prime rib, and all sorts of events and other foods makes this experience worth the price of admission.
Also, I thought that we needed a game ticket (which I had) for us to enter, but they didn't check or ask for a ticket. However, they do require for you to have a ticket to get in and that's it.
Word of advice - be there early if you want great seating. I had arrived around 10 minutes before opening and we were able to get good seating near the bar and nachos stations.
I bought my ticket from a third party vendor for half the price, and it was WORTH EVERY PENNY!
Would you rather spend nearly three figured on items like food, beer, and soft drinks, or spend half of that for all of the above? This was a great experience, and I will make sure to come back here when I am going to a game.
Great sushi place. They have tons of variety for sushi lovers. I like the fact that space is spread out. They have a cool sushi train that goes around an area that my niece loves. Overall, it's a good place to have sushi.
Talk about a hidden gem twice in one spot. Cha cha Sushi is a great place to have sushi, and next door there is this place called Bona Pizza -- and the pizza is delicious! This will now be my go-to-pizza spot from now on. The pizza taste fresh and it's done right on time. I have tried the BBQ and Combo - both delicious in their own right! Their deals are great, and better than the local pizza sports. I highly recommend this place.
My brother and I decided to attend a Dodgers vs. Giants game. Luckily for us - we found this hotel to be about a mile or two away and what an experience!
The moment we got here, we were greeted with a very friendly staff member. Sure he had some fun with me since I was wearing my Giants gear, but he was extremely friendly and made our morning - after all, we were driving for about 5 hours non-stop. Anyway, we were able to check in a little early (around 11-ish). As soon as we walked into the lobby, though, we were both stunned on how great it looked. We walked into our spacious room, and it was fantastic. Quiet and close to the gym, as well.
However, Downtown LA is pretty dead. No near by places to eat, and we went to the hotel restaurant... And it was a blessing! Great food and ambiance.
I WILL come back here again!
My family and I wanted to go to Bubba Gump's, but unfortunately it was packed. We had passed this restaurant since it was not as crowded as the other restaurants. After experiencing the food and service, we knew why.
The service was not as quick as I thought it would be, since it is on a tourist attraction and I would think they would have 2 people taking orders - but they only had 1 person. After waiting for nearly 15 minutes, the server took our order and I had the chile verde. Not the best, and the amount of food for this was too small for the price they were offering it. The chili verde was salty and made my stomach very upset moments after eating it. I assume that they had pre-made all of their food (rice, beans, and other meats) and plated to the point where it looked good to eat. Unfortunately, it was not good at all. Additionally, one of the members of my party may have gotten sick from the sauce they served on her fish plate.
Additionally, we had gotten the nachos as an appetizer. Unfortunately, some of my party members got burnt by touching the plate and the person who had brought it to us did not tell us that the plate was very hot.
Overall, my experience with this place was not a great one. And this is my first time that I've ever given a 1-star review.
Avoid this place as much as possible.
At a glance, it seems small from the outside. But once I walked in, it was relatively big and had seatings in the back of the restaurant. However, it was cold. Additionally, it looks very modernized and clean. I understand that this is a new location and they've must've hired and trained new employees, so I was not expecting top notch service. But, they were good on handling my order and everything turned out to be great. They were friendly and got everything right.
