My 4 year old and I got manicures today. Service was lovely and a great experience. Our new favorite spot!
This was a delicious meal! We had wonderful wine, ricotta crostini, lavender popcorn, stuffed peppadew peppers, Mac n cheese, braised beef steamed bun and chocolate cake. The ricotta crostini was light and refreshing, stuffed peppers were fabulous, popcorn was pretty good (worth a try), steamed bun was my favorite, Mac n cheese was creamy and cheesy. Chocolate cake was served with a side of cream poured on top! Definitely recommend!
I've been getting my nails and my daughter's nails done all summer biweekly. I do think their prices are really high, it's just been convenient for me. The quality of the work is just okay. I find that they don't normally get very close to the nail bed when I get gel on my nails which can be frustrating. Last week I went to the salon by myself and gave the girl her tip in cash. Which they push for so they don't have to report their tips to the government. I told her I'd be back later in the day after I picked my daughter up from daycare. She got her finger nails done and they told me it would be $7.00. She asked for cash, which I told her I only had $5 in cash and handed her my debit card. She began to converse with someone else and told me she'd have to charge me $10 to use my card. I agreed thinking she was going to take the $3 as her tip. When she gave me my receipt to sign she said "now I take $5 for tip". I told her the $3 that they charged me was her tip. She ended up telling me not to worry about tipping her. I own my own business and this is completely ridiculous. You can't charge a $3 up charge for using a debit card. The fees associated with using my card wouldn't have been more than .50. Needless to say, I'll be reporting them to VISA and will not ever go back again. No matter how convenient it is located.
We had the mussels and calamari as an appetizer. I probably wouldn't order them again. But the Butternut Squash salad was delicious, much smaller than other salads but absolutely worth it! Our table ordered 2 14" Ricotta pizza's and we had tons of left overs. The pizza seemed like it needed something. Salt maybe? Which wasn't on the table. Service was so so, but the atmosphere was really nice and it's fabulous that it's right there by Kiawah and Seabrook Island. Definitely worth a try!
We had an oyster sampler as an appetizer that was delicious, and the entire table ordered varying fish tacos. I had the mahi and shrimp tacos. The mahi mahi taco was fabulous. Next time if get 2 of those! Definitely would recommend this restaurant!
We had oysters for our appetizer which were good and I personally had the cob salad which was so so. My husband had the catch of the day which was tiger fish. He loved it! We had red velvet cake for dessert which was pretty good. A little dry, but the icing was good.
