Service here was friendly, but not attentive or detail oriented. Took a while, and got the pricing on a beer wrong (nice enough to take the entire thing off the bill).
The food is decent, although greasy, which we should've expected. The morning after burger was not really unique, although tasty. The oysters were really good. Also, this place is close to the WWII museum, which is why we went there in the first place.
Not impressive as Chinese restaurants go. It's pretty cheap but I think there are much better Chinese restaurants in the area (big fan of Sichuanese Cuisine near Ranch 99).
Their clay pot is decent, as well as the crispy chicken.
- The bread here is really good. Served warm and tasty, with balsamic and olive oil.
- Cocktails are really expensive but pretty good. I recommend the Nikita Breeze, and another cocktail which I've forgotten the name of but has jalapeno in it.
- The pastas here are really good, especially the gnocchi. I don't even usually like gnocchi but it was so soft and flavorful here.
- Even though the food is family style, be aware that the portion sizes are really small.
Came here after Stanford's disappointing Rose Bowl loss. It made up for it somewhat :)
Be careful, the chicharron is pretty spicy but delicious! Also, can't beat the price of $1.25 each.
Service was disinterested, but the food was good:
- Oysters were delicious
- Gumbo was only OK. Disappointed given the raves
- Shrimp and grits were really good. Really liked the touch of jalapeno.
We saw a bunch of people order the burger which looked really tasty. If I'm ever back in town, will try that!
Sno zen is my new favorite dessert place, and my first introduction to shaved snow. How beautiful and tasty! I am a big fan of their taro specialty with black sesame condensed milk. The owners are very sweet, and they charge less for the quantity they provide than other local dessert places. One question - why forks instead of spoons??
Finally got to try this place! Very tasty but I'm slightly annoyed at the nickel and diming in that everything is a la carte. That being said, the food is really good, and I'm a fan of their dipping sauces. Try the lamb and pork; I would skip the garlic beef which is too tough. A little expensive.
This is purely a review for food and not the politics of this place. Chick fil a makes damn good fast food chicken. That's that. This location also has a reasonably sized outdoor area in case you want to bring your dog. I also appreciate that they actually have waitstaff to come check in on you.
Solid but not the best. We came here because Zero Zero next door was full, and I suspect that's how they get a lot of their traffic. Their pizzas were pretty good, and the service was friendly. The croquettes were also tasty. I've had better mussels elsewhere however (Chez Papa)
