I have been here twice. The food is excellent, especially the macaroons! I have to leave only three stars though because the service was absolutely horrific today. We ordered pastries and a quiche. The quiche took nearly 30 minutes to come out. In that time, nobody checked on us to give us an update. We thought they had just forgotten about it. At the conclusion of our meal, we had to ask THREE times over the course of twenty minutes for our check. The food is excellent, but the service left us frustrated and regretting our decision to spend Sunday morning there.
The Mac and cheese was out of this world. The chicken was very tender and delicious as well. I gave 3 stars because my friend ordered the bavette steak medium rare and it tasted like leather. Also, as a big chocolate lover, the chocolate short bread cookies were disappointing.
Ordered the pitchfork and Reuben. Had high hopes for both but they were really really soggy. Got through two bites of the Reuben and finally gave up. I have had bread pudding that is firmer than the sauce-drenched buns they use. Nauseating.
I've been here twice and it is one of my new favorite places! The first time I had the jjiampong spicy seafood noodles. It was incredible- if you are a seafood lover you must try it. The second time I ordered one of the sushi plates and it was delicious! The fish is very fresh and melts in your mouth. For dessert, I ordered the cobbler. I'm not usually a fan of fruity desserts, but this was awesome, topped with a warm green tea cake and vanilla ice cream. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about the menu as well.
We've been really excited about trying this new restaurant from the Pubbelly group. The food was good, but it lacks some of the originality you would expect from these restauranteurs. We went for the miami spice lunch yesterday. In terms of atmosphere, the place is a great date spot or place to go with friends, much bigger than the other venues. We started with the French onion soup, which was delicious but seemed kind of heavy just for the sake of being heavy rather than adding any unique flavors. Next we split the l'echon burger and the corn risotto. Again, the burger was delicious but heavy just for the sake of being heavy. We all love thousand island dressing but the burger was swimming in it. The risotto was just okay. Too sweet for my taste, like eating a can of creamed corn. The dessert was really the highlight of the meal. The chocolate bread pudding was to die for. The creme brûlée was also good, but was more visually stunning than it was on your taste buds. I would definitely return again to try some or the other menu items. The service was great and I would recommend giving this place a shot.
Lettuce wraps and drunken noodles are awesome. If you are very sensitive to spice, this is not the place for you. For tr average person, the food has just the right amount of
kick! For dessert, the sticky rice with mango is a must- although I think it would have been better served warm. Awesome, though pricey, cocktails.
Pro: Best barbeque in Miami. Baby back ribs are a must! Cons: I could do without the fried chicken, which was a bit dry. The cocktails could be a bit stronger, and you will definitely leave this place smelling like a smoker.
