I visited Danna for my first EVER bikini waxing. I was very nervous but Danna did a great job at comforting me and talking me though the process. I was surprised that it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. She was gentle, fast, thorough, very clean, sweet and easy to talk to.
I am so happy with my experience at Skin Care By Danna! I will definitely return and have already recommend her expert services.
The entertainment was TOP SHELF! The ladies were not only beautiful but highly talented dancers. Over all I enjoyed the evening.
I would give Jumbo's 4 stars but the bartender on the evening I went was terrible. I went this past Tuesday night and I was out with 4 of my guy friends celebrating a birthday. I was told by the woman behind the bar that there was a 2 drink minimum. I settled with a watered down, over priced Manhattan and a shot of Bourbon since the bartender did not know how to make an Old Fashioned. Not only did the self professed "Madam of the House" not know how to make basic cocktails but she loudly verbally insulted my group on multiple occasions. We were all uncomfortable and would have moved away from the bar but the place was packed and there were no other open seats available.
I am sure I will return to Jumbo's but I will not sit at the bar if this woman is working. Save your money on drinks (order beer) and walk down to Harvard & Stone and enjoy a real (strong) cocktail made by expert bartenders for the same price you would pay at Jumbo's.
The food was ok, the service was nice.
We ordered the shrimp ceviche and the fish tacos. The ceviche was alright. It wasn't fresh and they were very light on the shrimp. There were more chips on my plate then ceviche. The fish tacos were not good at all. We ordered the "grilled" fish but it wasn't grilled and they were drenched in a white sauce that didn't taste that appetizing. The beans and rice are alright but the beans don't have much flavor and they are covered in cheese.
I feel like they need to narrow down their large menu selection. Especially since the quality of the food is so low.
I am a HUGE fan of Mexican food but I think I will spend my money elsewhere.
I was so excited to have discovered this botanical perfumery! I came across Strange Invisible by accident, but oh how grateful I am for that accident!!!
I walked in and was kindly greeted by Betti. I told her that I was looking for something new and she proceeded by asking me a few questions. She then took me on a scent "tasting". After smelling about 6-8 scents, with her guidance, I was able to narrow my selection down to two. I tried them on my skin and within a few minutes I was a addicted! I have worn my select fragrance every day since. I am completely intoxicated by my scent and have received countless complements on it. The sillage is delicate which I find to be the most sensual and sexy kind of perfume. Betti couldn't have been more gracious, conversational and open to sharing her knowledge. Thank you Betti!
I have recommended SI to friends and clients knowing that they will be just as happy as I am to have a gem of a boutique perfumery in the LA area.
This was truly an experience that I wont forget and I can't wait to return!
Note: Just the other day I learned that there is another perfumery next door to Strange Invisible called Le Labo. I visited Le Labo two days ago and also found a remarkably unique fragrance to add to my growing collection.
I can't get enough of this place!!! I have eaten here countless times and every single time I have been very impressed.
Every dish I have tried I have enjoyed. The ingredients were fresh, tasty and high quality. Pradeep's is spacious, group friendly, clean, provides fast and friendly service. There is free parking in the back but if the lot is full there is also 2 hour parking on the street.
I will happily continue to enjoy their food for years to come!
I am addicted to the margarita plus! It's hands down the best I've ever had in LA. For sure worth the extra $ to get the burrata cheese and basil infused oil.
If your'e in the mood for something sweet after your pizza I recommend trying the chocolate milk topped with toasted marshmallows. I enjoy sitting at the counter, you can watch them make your pizza and you feel the heat coming from the brick oven.
The service was great, the wine was tasty and the place was clean. I do agree with a previous review with them needing wine glasses or at least the glasses without a stem. I have traveled FAR, very far in fact and yes it matters when it comes to enjoying your glass of wine to its fullest. The server is kinda kooky but that's a breath of fresh air to me! Especially dining in a town where there are too many unnecessarily pretentious servers without character. This guy LOVES what he does, you can not only see that but you feel it as well.
It's not very spacious however so I wouldn't recommend going in a group with more then 4 people. The music selection wasn't conducive to creating an ambiance and the lighting is a bit bright, so if your'e wanting a romantic spot this doesn't fit that category. But hey, the pizza is DELICIOUS!!! That's what your'e there for. I will for sure visit Olio time and time again.
NOTE: Free valet parking next door with validation from Olio
The nearest tech to me was Skylar Testa. He showed up on time, was very friendly/professional, and time conscious. We communicated via text to set up an appointment for him to come to my house and he provided me with a price. For my i4 screen it was $100. I was happy with that since everywhere else I checked was from $150-$199. To make a claim through my insurance it would cost $170. Keep in mind that your warranty is void if you use an outside source such as iCracked. It was worth it for me though.
The tech chose an area in my home to set up a work "station". He then checked my phone for any other damages that may have occurred as a result from the drop. Fortunately for me just the glass screen was broken. It took a little over an hour to fix. He cleaned up, gave me a detailed receipt and my phone was like new again!
I am very happy with the product and service and will use iCracked again if need be.
I visited Le Labo this evening and was graciously guided through the house by Cameron. With his expert nose he helped us find just the right scent and answered our many questions happily.
The space is esthetically soothing and allows for you to sit down, relax and take your time sampling the uniquely complex arrangement of scents. After we had selected a few to try on, Cameron offered to make us espresso while we waited on the comfortable sofa. There were a number of books to thumb through and also a free, YES FREE, photo booth!!!
Cameron took his time with us and asked if we would like to smell any of the pure scents that are behind the counter. One that we smelled is the Musk. Unlike what one of the other yelp reviews said, synthetic is NOT always bad. Le Labo is a vegan perfumery and does not believe in harming animals to obtain pure essence such as Musk.
Our selection was hand blended by Cameron and a label printed with the name of the scent and also MY name. You can choose, up to 23 characters, whatever you want it to say!
After having my selected scent on for a few hours now, I am happy to find that the sillage is intimate, just the way I prefer my perfumes. There is nothing sexier then discovering someones scent.
I will definitely return to Le Labo as I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my experience. I found not one but three unique fragrances to add to my growing wardrobe.
