The locals had good things to say about the avenue, but everytime I walked by people were always eating their wings.
Today I stopped in for the first time. I had the early bird special which you can choose appetizer+main+dessert, main +dessert, appetizer+ main . Nice flexibility.
I was choosing between the lamb shank and the fish and chips, the waitress said lamb.
Boy was she right, probably the best I have had. The 6 hour braise made the meat fall right off. The accompanying vegetables and potatoes were perfect for soaking up the sauce.
Followed up with the toffee pudding also good.
then the beer of the month a nice northern ireland blonde ale, yumm.
great experience. I'll be going back soon
Had a meal here the other night. Sunday night and barely a table to be found but we finally found one.
My wife had the curry chicken, I had the fish stew both delicious.
The crispy potato skins were good, though only 2 on a plate will leave you wanting more
fish and chips were also good.
service staff was attentive and friendly.
okay I admit I doubted the hype. At first glance the simple menu reminded me of in and out burger or something.
Then I noticed the small things- blue cheese option, truffle fries. Extensive can beer collection.
Then the food came (and beer). The burger was cooked perfect, nice crust on the outside, juicy, perfect size. Fries were also delicious truffle or not.
I will be back. Can;t wait for Mississippi branch to open closer to home
Had our first experience at Urban Farmer last night. We had the steak sampler - 4 6oz new york cuts (grass fed, corn fed, 28tr ages, wagyu). Delicious. Wait staff was very courteous and helpful. The sides were also great.
We will return...
I took my wife (newly on gluten intolerant list) and family. Me and my wife had the quiche and the kids had pizza. All very good. Also stumptown coffee which is always good.
These are the first gluten free baked goods I have had that taste as good as normal stuff.
I would rate one of the best bakeries in town gluten or not
