Travel a lot....domestically and internationally... hands down worst and ugliest airport ever...unnecessarily complicated and inefficient. A little better now that it connects to the metro. unfortunately you have to walk halfway to downtown to get to the airport metro station.
I have been coming here for about 4 months and I love it! I come here for both my facials and for my eyelash extensions. I discovered this place when the girl who normally does my eyelashes cancelled last minute and I needed to make a same day appointment. Unlike other salons, Sylviana took pity on me and squeezed me in with her technician Jen. Wow! My eyelashes have never looked better.
The owner Sylviana's does all the facials personally and she is amazing. She is so sweet and friendly, and very concerned about the customers experience. She makes recommendations on the treatment you should do based on your skin. I have personally suffered from horrible acne for several years. However, in less than 3 months with Sylvi, I can now go out without any coverup and the tone and texture of my skin is wonderful. I no longer suffer from the horrible acne cysts I had either. Sylvi is constantly increasing the variety of treatments she offers by purchasing new machines. Her line of skin care and make up products are wonderful.
Sylvi stands by all of her procedure and products because she does not seek or try anything she hasn't percentile used on herself. Every recommendation she has made to me has been wonderful. I cannot live without the facial cleanser or mascara she has turned me on to. The best part for people who are busy is that she is open late (and early) and has hours on Saturday.
I have tried several place in Miami and Sylviana's is by far the best. Anyone who really cares about the quality of their skin care should really give Sylviana's a try.
Great place! I love the powerplate workout- intense but also fun and so different. PLus you get a little powerplate massage to ward of soreness after. Going back to try the yoga but the owner is super nice and fun. Love this place!
Ok. SO I am writing about delivery. I've ordered food from La Moon 3 times. Mainly because I am in love with the Arepa Burger. La moon is around the corner from me but the food takes FOREVER to be delivered (Waited 1 hr 45 min). Also, ordering is a very frustrating experience because the delivery man does not speak english and usually neither does the woman who you order from on the phone. Luckily I speak spanish. However this does not help. The ordering process is just as confusing for them in spanish.
Knowing all of these issues I still order from them because the food is sinfully goos but I make sure I order from them rarely. Last night my roommate and I ordered an arepa burger and a moon burger. Despite repeating my order several times to the woman on the phone in 2 different languages she still got it wrong. Of course we did not discover this until an hour and 45 min later when our food was delivered. SO I called the restaurant. Told them I could not eat the super arepa burger because I do not eat pork (never said super in my entire phone call- not from Miami so not a word I frequently use.) 2 hours later I got my sandwhich (so much for my roommate and I eating dinner together.) However the manager sent along a cuatros leches cake cup as an I am sorry which was very sweet. I meant the apology but the cake was also sweet.
If you want greasy, flavorful food there is no better place. But you are better off going to the actual restaurant. Ordering food from them is a frustrating experience.
Loved it! Elliot did my hair and he was so sweet. WIll definitely be coming back! My hair lasted all night-through a windy beach wedding and 4 hours of salsa. :)
The chicken Brenda is to die for!!! You will never want to eat anything else. Of course the homemade pasta is so yummy too. Cajun italian food...so yummy, and just downstairs you have access to live music in the apple bars. You can fill your stomach at this delish restaurants before you dance the night away on Frenchman street. MUST EAT HERE.
The place to go in New Orleans. If you like live music, don't waste your time anywhere else. Blues, Jazz, Reggae...it's all so good! Absolutely the best place to go during a night in New Orleans...and if you are hungry, head to Adolfo's!
Delish pizza and Salads. Ate here twice and could have eaten here again. So yummy, and pretty quick. I am from New York and I can honestly say... This pizza is BETTER. Not greasy... full of flavor. Yumm!
Great hotel. Very cute and quaint. Staff is super friendly. Street car stop is right there. French Quarter is a short, beautiful 20 min walk away. Taxis are easy to get form this location. Breakfast is AMAZING. So good. Lot of cool restaurants nearby (HAVE TO GO TO SLICE! AND KREWE DU BREW). I love this hotel, nice and quiet but no too far from the party. Free Wifi. Super comfy beds.
