This is my kinda pizza. Huge cheese slices, perfect, crispy crust, nothing fancy. The only place I have been able to find that nearly resembles authentic NY style pizza. Wasn't as big a fan of their homemade ranch dressing, but I hail from ranch country so it's understandable that I'd be disappointed.
I've only tried the cheese, so I can't comment on their vast variety of other toppings. And here's a protip: get the garlic knots, but eat then the next day. Way better the day after.
We stayed here over the Browns/Raiders (woof, woof!) The room itself was awesome! We booked the king suite (I am a government contractor and received a hefty discount). The suite was an open floor plan, so the bath and shower were not enclosed in a separate room. The toilet, thankfully, was. The tub was extremely large and featured a shower head attachment. The room had a distinct living area with a flat screen tv, wrap around couch, ottoman, chair and footrest. The living area also had a fireplace, but it was decorative. There was another flat screen television across from a queen sized bed.
I didn't check out the amenities but was told there is a nightclub and theater with reclining chairs.
My only disappointment was room service. It simply wasn't good. I also wouldn't book the room for business (no desk). Finally, if you need a fridge, you'll need to order one from the front desk. Theirs is stocked with a private bar.
I really love the bartenders here and the drinks were very good. The only reason the rating comes down is because the price needs to! Eek-the portions of food are very small. The mac and cheese came in the same size bowl I usually put my soy sauce in for sushi. The crab cake slider was nice, but again, very small portion for 12-13 bucks. I think they need to revamp the food menu to get me sold on it. They have a really great thing going on here: good location, great atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent mixologists. Get a cheaper bar menu and we have ourselves a deal :D
I only wish I had written more reviews earlier so that I had been yelp elite a LONG time ago. This event was awesome! It had everything: make your own flower bouquet, painting station, massage station, beauty parlor, food, food, food, and more food! The DJ was spinning some classics and the dance floor was packed. I had so much fun at my 1st yelp elite event that I can't wait for more!
I'm not as big of a fan of this place as most people, so don't be deterred by my 3 stars (my boyfriend is absolutely obsessed). I'm just a simple gal who enjoys a well-made NY style cheese slice without any of the extra stuff. If you like flat breads, you will dig this place. Their homemade soda is also refereshing, I recommend the ginger lemonade.
I just had the best doughnuts I've ever had in my nearly 31 years of living. I was expecting doughnut holes with some dipping sauces, but no my friends, these were two fairly large, piping hot doughnuts drizzled in brown sugar and creme. No brainer. My partner had the fish and chips. The portion of fish they served was huge, crispy, and lightly greased. The hand-cut chips/fries were hot and seasoned perfectly (not too salty, which can ruin fries to a point of no return). Downstairs where we sat, we had 4 TVs with the NFL ticket, and they were even nice enough to turn the Browns on for me, major brownie points (heh heh, see what I did there?) A true sports bar in the vacant sports bar desert that is the H Street corridor. Top it all off with friendly service, and you got yourself 5 stars.
This place is decent for little kiddos, but it's not quite as extensive in the one in NYC. I got a little bored here, but my nephew seemed to love it, so that counts for something, right?
Overall, my experience at 360 has been positive. I have lived here since November 2013, and will be moving out at the end of November this year. Maintenance requests happen almost immediately, and boy am I grateful for that. Also living above a Giant has its perks, especially when winter rolls around. The gym and public areas are maintained well, and most of the people whom I interact with are friendly and professional. Although turnover has been quite high in the year I've been with, people in the front office have always helped me out. My key stopped working to the bike storage, and although the office was closed for the night, someone leaving from the front office walked me down and let me in. These experiences were what made my year a positive one.
I gave it 3 stars for a few reasons. While I am satisfied overall, there were numerous instances with which I was left unsatisfied. One desk attendant, who shall remain nameless, sighed audibly and act inconvenienced when I asked for packages. I purposely wait until other, friendlier staff are at the desk for me to pick up my packages now. I also had 4 friends over to my apartment for book club, and she told the last guest who arrived that I should have registered a party with the front desk if I was having one. Aside from being unprofessional and choosing to bring up that sentiment to my guest instead of me, I had 4 people over that night. I have since avoided her, so I'm not sure how she treats other tenants, but she made me feel very uncomfortable in my own home. Otherwise, the desk attendants are nice, helpful, chatty, and just overall great people to be around.
I also received an email from the property manager a few months ago telling me a neighbor had complained about my music during a time that I was not even in my apartment. When I confronted the issue, I never heard back. This same neighbor has also come over to my apartment to complain about my television volume once when I first moved in. I, on the other hand, have rarely ever heard my neighbors. I've heard loud bass music a few times, but never too late into the evening. I'm not saying neighbors should be under the purview of the apartment building, but a property manager emailing a tenant without due diligence is not very professional.
Finally, as others have mentioned, the fire alarm and elevators are sporadically inoperable. The "fire alarm saga of 2014," as mentioned by another reviewer, was very frustrating, but it seems to be under control now. As mentioned before, the keys are inconvenient. I am only given one key, so that I can't even give my boyfriend access to my apartment without paying $100 deposit for a key that is not worth $100.
I won't be resigning, because the price is more than I think this area is worth. With another new building being built across the street and the number of buildings that are slated for H St. NE, I'm sure you could find a better deal. In fact, I'm moving into a 1 bedroom in Shaw (with a pool) for only 300 bucks more than what they wanted to charge me next year for a studio.
This is a very large, open coffee shop with plenty of seating (although it does get packed quickly). I didn't realize it was a Christian coffee shop until a friend pointed it out, so I wouldn't let it deter you if you're not religious. On the weekdays, you can usually find a seat pretty easily as well. Ebenezers also has fantastic iced coffee if you're into that sort of thing.
I would give Founding Fathers a 3.5. I cozied up to the bar with my boyfriend on a cold day this spring and enjoyed some fried green tomatoes (get these!) and some delicious cocktails. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and waffles per other yelpers' recommendations, but he wasn't blown away. I get it, we have been to plenty of soul food dive restaurants that served a better chicken and waffles than Founder's overpriced dish. The atmosphere, however, was my favorite part of the restaurant. It was very cozy, ample space at the bar, and great service. I can't speak to dinner--but I'll be back to imbibe in a Saturday afternoon cocktail!
