After shopping ranch 99, we stopped by for bubble tea. It was awful and tasted like soap. When we asked for a different one immediately, we were told no and given a dirty look. Really terrible service and soap bubble tea.
Great atmosphere, far down the road. The food tastes great. There aren't always much for vegetarian options, and the chef is so creative that pasta is a bit disappointing. Also, once they decided that they weren't going to open up one Monday and failed to think about calling us and letting us know even though we had reservations.
Worth the experience when it works well, but a bit of a risk and a commitment.
I love Jim's. I introduce my friends to Jim's. I have friends that visit from out of town and ask to go to Jim's. The family that runs is incredibly sweet and considerate. They may not give as much attention as other places, but it isn't because they don't care. The remember about eating preferences. I can't say enough nice things about Helen, her daughters or the place. The food is so delicious, I want fried tofu right now.
Been a member here for a while. Good wines for the prices, particular with the tastings. It is a great place to bring visitors from out of town. Staff is nice and friendly and most know a lot about wine and the local area.
The best vegetarian food that I have found in Salinas or on the Peninsula. There aren't too many chairs but if you call in advance they are great about fixing to suit your taste.
