As I walked past the throngs of people waiting in line for the equally quaint ice cream shop next door, I wondered to myself...how did i never come here before? The inside of this place is part french market meets house ware boutique. On my left displayed in an aesthetically pleasing array was an assortment of cured meats hanging, and on the right was my destination, the sandwich line.
The menu is a small paper affair with a very limited listing of options that covered everything from korean bbq to the grilled chicken sandwich. I ordered the muffelata(sp?) and sat at a table waiting for my food to arrive.
As we waited impatiently for what looked to be a delicious assortment of sandwiches, we realized that the line had quickly blossomed into a large queue going out the door. When our food came, and we all collectively took our first bites...silence. It was so good that we had all reached a state of nirvana.
Moral of the story? Go. Eat. Enjoy. Sleep. Come back.
Wow what a great store hidden in suburbia! My sister had recommended it to me, saying that they had variety, style, and good prices-all I look for. It had designer labels mixed in with smaller brands, and it was a dream come true for a college student's wallet!
I left with a $13 brand new Calvin Klein dress and a super cute silk interview shirt. I am coming back soon to look for shoes and a new purse!
Just enjoyed a great dinner at this cute place. The setting was great, we didn't bother with parking, valet was the way to go. Food was great, I got the veal, and my bestie got the night's special-lamp chops. The atmosphere was really relaxing.
While we were there, we saw many couples, and a few larger groups, so its a good place for any size party!
I only give it 4 stars and not five because I expected more for the price, and the bill can't be separated, leaving us with the awkward "do we just split it 50/50 or figure it out" mentality. Not what you want to be thinking about at the end of your meal. I really wish I could give it 4.5, but its one or nuthin!
To end on a good note - The coffee and desserts were amazing, I would come back just for those! I enjoyed the creme bruleé, and my friend the profiterole-both were delicious in every possible way. An added bonus, they are showing the world cup there...if you are interested!!
Great for a college student like myself with two dogs and just a part time job! Staff is efficient and straight to the point. I have taken both my dogs for the past year, and I have no complaints. However, this is a very busy office, so I suggest getting there a few minutes before opening, there isn't as long of a wait then. So glad I found this place.
My co-worker and I ended up at the Corner Cafe, because I had been craving french fries and she said the ones here were the best. Parking was easy, always a plus in the city, and there was a few tables open, so we were seated really quickly.
I ordered the Grilled Cheese BLT with 2 fried eggs. WOW. The bread, the bacon, combined with the eggs and the cheese, holy moly friends, it was amazing. the French Fries...oh yes. They were definitely some of the best I have had. The most amazing part about all of the food was, while it was definitely fatty, none of it felt greasy, and everything tasted and smelled quite fresh.
As we were leaving, we walked by the bakery, and saw some delicious selections. I was so full from lunch that I didn't buy anything, but I am most definitely returning to try some of the pastries. There was a long line for the bakery, which for me, means that they must be worth the wait.
Definitely worth it - absolutely returning - hopefully soon!
Wow what an amazing place! They had a vast array of clothing options, including designer and evening wear. I went here looking for a bridesmaid's dress and came out a silver(SILVER) candy dish, new work shoes, and a set of fancy dinner napkins all for less than $10! They have a different group of items on sale every day!
Also, I love that this is a Christian ministry, so they are helping out local folks who need assistance ect. Pretty neat.
I have been coming here for years. Since i know my car pretty well, they don't try to mess with me, but it has happened once or twice. Like all places, know your car before you go.
Everytime I bring my car in i know it will come out running like new. And thats an awesome feeling.
That being said, Allan is an amazing manager and will do his best to get you a good deal, and since its a chain, they have amazing sales and coupons - so always have one ready!
Deliciousness in all forms!
I have prowled cheshire bridge for years and never gave this place a second glsnce, until a friend took me there. Yes, parking is awful, but if you time it right then its not so bad. We went on a Monday at 5:10 and there were already people eating inside (the place opens at 5). By the time we left at 7:30, it was packed and there were people waiting to be seated.
The food was BEYOND good, the coconut soup by itself is reason to go. I had something spicy, but it was so good i couldnt stop eating as my mouth and throat burned.
Also-the bathrooms were very well taken care of-always a good sign!
