Best damn tacos Inland!
It's clean, great service, simple menu, they aren't greedy with the proteins, their asada is flavorful and smoky and their adobada is delicious and crispy. Finally a Mexican place that seasons their meat lol... no need for extra salsa to be honest just great flavor!
I can't believe this place hardly has any reviews, their tacos de camarón are to die for. The shrimp tacos itself are a must have, their fried tortillas are filled with shrimp goodness (they don't skimp on the shrimp), topped with their house made, refreshing red salsa and avocado. The combination of these simple ingredients for this delicious dish, makes it well balanced. So next time your in Pomona, give their only brick and mortar spot a try.
Also , their tostadas de camarón or pescado are delicious but of course the fried shrimp tacos, deserve a try. Their menu is simple, small and sometimes that makes a place better, since they only focus on perfecting a few simple dishes, it's no wonder they received a Michellin Bib Gourmand a few years back.
Hands down the best Sinaloan style Mariscos in LA. One my first Chefs/mentors brought me to this hole in the wall a long time ago and until this day, it never disappoints. Something as simple as their Tostadas are delish. Make sure you pair one their signature drinks while feasting, the Sangria preparada and Shrimp "Nectar" Micheladas are to die for.
The place gets crowded in the evenings, I would say they have less than 10 tables in there and most crowds stay there for a few hours feasting, chillin' hard and drinking. I'll warn you parking sucks two big ones, since the place is in this small sketch plaza, but then again what hole in the wall isn't? Make sure if your in the area, Mariscos El Moreno a try, you won't be disappointed.
Hands down the best coffee and breakfast sandwiches in town! The Monroe sandwich is to die for, my friend and I frequent this quaint coffee shop when in town, just for this breakfast sandwich.
Not exaggerating but it's the best balanced breakfast sandwich we ever had, the peppery arugula, the smoked bacon and their pesto mayo in this soft, not chewy ciabatta is sooo good!
Give it a try when in Monrovia, this hefty fella knows what he's talking about, you wont regret it.
Heritage Bbq is delicious, honestly a gem in San Juan Capistrano, no wonder it has Michelin Bib Gourmand. Definitely one of the best barbecue spots in California, the half smoked chicken, pork ribs, chicken garlic sausage are delish and their sides, don't disappoint.
