Went on a family vacation to Long beach, WA.......and after a stop for gas and lunch we drove by The Ranch and I said no matter what we are stopping on our way back to Spokane, and boy was that one of my better decisions. We ordered a combo plate of pork, brisket, ribs, a 1/4 chicken, garlic fries, baked beans, and coleslaw. I haven't had BBQ this good since I lived in the South (TN & TX) I can see why they have all the rewards.....it's a must stop if you're in the area.
My opinion is Bias, because I used to be an employee at The Globe...but long before that I was a regular. I posted the pictures of The Tower, it's a burger that you decide how much you want on it, they give you a list of toppings and you just started checking amounts and it comes out looking like the pictures....and it tastes great......do you think you can handle this burger......I have finished it, and I also ate dessert. I have tried most everything on this menu and it is all excellent. The head Chef Howard has created dishes that not only are pleasing to look at but are also a palette pleasing adventure. Chef Howard along with Rocky the bartender came up with a concept that is genius. The ACME Test Kitchen....it's on Thursday nights and you are given a check list of choices from what type of protein you are in the mood for, sauce, spice, part of the world....and you just check the items and Chef Howard will create you a one of a kind meal that will leave you speechless. They also have a good Happy Hour with cheap appetizers, and for you Scotch drinkers there is a large selection as well. Friday and Saturday nights you can dance on the new dance floor to the sounds of Afrodesiac while the two T's (Theresa and Teresa) serve you up tasty drinks from the bar. What ever you thought The Globe was...come in and experience what it is.
I have been a Costco member since 1996. I have been to a lot of other locations across the country and I must say that our Spokane location is the best on around. When I lived in Winter Park, FL there was a Costco just down the street from my house across from my College, and it didn't even come close to this one, but on a side note every time I would be filling up with gas one of the attendants would as ask me where I was from in Washington because of my plates on my truck and when I would tell them they would ask if it's true on how busy our Costco is and if it's as awesome as the rumors they've heard.....and I always laughed and told them it was like being Charlie in the Chocolate factory.
Picked up some 2 BBQ beef and 2 pulled pork sandwiches, with onion rings and coleslaw. All for about $16. They have an awesome daily take-out special.....2 pork, turkey, or ham sandwiches for $5 and 2 beef for $6. The sandwiches are good size and they are good......it's not typical Southern BBQ, but for the price it's worth it. If you want real Southern BBQ you have to check out some of the other authentic BBQ spots around.
Let me tell you.....I was so excited to run across a Wingstop in Coeur D Alene, ID. If you like wings then this is your place. Every time I ate wings in this area I always complained that it wasn't Wingstop....now when I lived in Dallas, TX it was an every Wednesday event with me and my friends. They have a wide variety of wings, including boneless and they have great deals through out the week. On this trip my girlfriend, my son and myself ordered 35 wings, 20 Cajun, 10 Lemon-pepper, and 5 boneless BBQ (for my son). I recommend ordering the wings well done so they come out crispy and delicious. I have not had a bad experience at any Wingstop and this one follows that pattern. All the flavors of wings are excellent, but my 2 favorite are Cajun and Lemon-pepper. We also ordered fries (well done), which are hand cut and awesome. Carrots and celery, and also coleslaw (my son loves their coleslaw), and a large drink.....I think with tip it was a little over $30. A must stop the next time you want wings.
This was my first time eating at Molly's, and I must say I am now going to become a regular. Other than needing an update inside and out, I have no major complaints. Fast, friendly service and the restaurant is cleaner than most of it's kind. I am giving 4 of 5 stars due to the fact that it was only my first time eating here. I had the Hash and eggs......and was I impressed. My Hash was crispy and Delicious. I had my eggs over easy and they where perfect....so perfect in fact that I don't think any place I've ever eaten breakfast in town has ever cooked my eggs right (honestly I might like them over medium, which is how most places serve over easy) I also had the Home-style O'Brien potatoes, I must say that they did fall a little short.....the potatoes where cooked nicely but the onions and peppers where just put on top instead of mixed in. My rye toast was also so so, not their best. My girlfriend had the chicken fried steak, eggs over medium, and crispy O'Brien Hashed browns. The steak was huge and crispy, eggs perfect, but again the browns cooked to perfection but the onions and peppers not mixed in, her sour dough toast was burnt, but promptly replaced. My girlfriends sister had a bacon and cheese omelet, regular browns, and toast. The omelet was enormous, overflowing with bacon and cheese, and again perfect eggs. She had no complaints on the browns or toast. My 2 year old son had a kids breakfast, and he ate all of it with no hassles. All in all I was impressed will be back soon.
