I usually LOVE this place, the prices, sales and venue of stuff is always great. BUT, yesterday I found a sitter for my week old newborn and went and bought the medela swing pump. I came back to a crying infant ready to nurse but content knowing that w my new pump that wouldn't have to happen again. Well...I open the "new" package to find milk stains in the tube and water marks in the bottle. I don't know how this happened but personal care items aren't supposed to be returned. I was disgusted, pissed off and frustrated bc now not only did I not have a pump after getting a sitter to get one, but I had to go exchange it!!! Well since I no longer had a sitter I had to drag my newborn out in the heat to return this shit. Disgusting. Also there was no apology or anything, the cashier was equally disgusted though. Y'all need to be a little closer eyed with returns, that was a lot of bullshit I had to go through and having just delivered a freaking baby, I shouldn't have to deal w that shit. They need to find out who returned that, it's disgusting and should be illegal.
This place has a great atmosphere, very upscale and new yawky...but the food did not match the environment. I ordered the vegetarian special, which I assumed that for 24$ it would be fabulous and creative, but it was nothing more that maque choux w lima beans instead of corn...literally...like how is that "special"? It was surrounded by grilled squash and that was IT. Completely bland and unimpressive. We ordered one of each app and the only one I really liked was the shrimp wrap one...the sauce was delicious. My friend ordered the Lamb entree and said it tasted like the lamb rolled in shit, all 5 ppl at the table agreed...most even suspected it wasn't even in fact lamb and they are chefs, soooo I think they know what they are talking about.
I would come back in the future but only to drink, their bar is really nice and the menu was full of craft cocktails. Its a nice posh place and I like the fact that they have a cheese plate and it looks like a great place to throw a party (in back). but the food isn't worth what they are charging...
I usually love their selection, but today I went in the "clearance" basket by the checkout to see what they had and my friend picked out some baby food. I told her that at that price she should check the expiration date and low and behold...expired in FEBRUARY!!! A child could eat this and Rouses doesn't care and just wants to make 50CENTS!? I am appalled and I want to know how the F*ck that is even legal??? This isn't the first time I have busted them for trying to sell expired food, but the last time I let it slide, because risking a child's health for 50cents is ridiculous and whoever is in charge of that should be fired. I will be contacting corporate and putting this on blast all over social media, I take child endangerment very serious....ya'll should be f*cking ashamed of yourselves.
The best thing I had here was the red velvet ice cream cake...actually one of the best deserts I've had in a lonnnnng time :)
I had the BBQ shrimp which was good, but the shrimp was flavored as well as the shrimp rem. app that I shared. That app was sooo flavorful. The granny salad was perfect and the crawfish crepe was good too. The service was really good, the chef came out and greeted our party. I'd def recommend the red velvet and the BBQ shrimp if ya don't mind getting ur fingers dirty.
The beet root salad was probably the best thing I've ever eaten, but the service was a little slacking...went about a month ago. I had my app plates still lingering when my entree arrived. The flavored tea was delicious!! Y'all should advertise more, none if my foodie friends have even heard of this place. The atmosphere is gorgeous btw! I've ordered take out since and it's always good...if you go you have to try the beet salad!!
We usually catch the late show on Sundays or Mondays...the manager is really sweet and always makes sure we get what we need. The chairs are more comfortable than any other theater. The pretzels are microwaved which is not tasted at all and I wouldn't get again. I wish their cheese wasn't old school pump, I spoiled by what amc has I guess. It's def a more comfortable theater just could upgrade on the snacks. Also when are they opening the bar? Not that I drink but it just seems like a waste sitting there unused. It's close to home so ill go again esp bc of the chairs...but if I could change one thing it would be a better nacho cheese option...the pump cheese is gross and I go to the show for the nachos!! Wouldn't hurt to upgrade on that, I'd pay more for quality!!
Wasn't that impressed...I got the chicken flautas and was thinking...this is it? Then I had to pay 1.25 for 2oz of guac, kinda cheeky. The food was bland and not enough for the price...if they are gonna charge five bucks for such a small portion at least make it taste and good. I don't plan on going back, they seem really cheap like there isn't even a one sized drink like every other place in the planet. I'm far from cheap but if I'm gonna spend money at least have some flavor and give ppl freakin napkins! Cheap!
Also after they didn't deliver the guac I paid for, I asked for it and they wouldn't give it to me until they checked my check....like I'm going to lie to save a dollar, very insulting. Whoever is running that place is too focused on getting by wo giving the customers shit and yet they expect to stay in business? Getting a bad rep guys...
Just left this place and could honestly throw up. That place has gone to shit. The cashier/cook looked like he the flu and I wanted to turn around the second I walked in, but I was starving so I thought hey maybe the food is ok....I was so wrong. All the stuff out was old as could be. The cheesy bread was under cooked, disgusting. I ate half a piece of Alfredo pizza bc it was the only thing fresh-ish...sipped my over priced drink and left within three mins of sitting down. I should get my money back, and a prescription to anti-biotics...place is gross. I guess since they a doing 5 dollar buffets they don't give a shit about a quality, but damn...when trey ran that place it was always at least up to code/standard. I will not be going back. The overall cleanliness was terrible...if I get sick I'm gonna be pised
I went yesterday and the shrimp spring rolls were sooooooo good I literally drove back today thru a freaking thunder storm to get some more...that peanut sauce is like crack for my taste buds! They cater to gluten free diets too which is pretty cool...had the lemon grass chicken wannnngs too yesterday and i slurped up ginger sauce when I was done lol
Not expensive either for such fresh food...I plan on checking out their happy hour until I'm too pregs to get thru the door...their FOOD happy hour!! Lol menu looks good!!
