They always do a wonderful job, and true to their name have a lot of "sparkle" choices to choose from. The place is very clean and all of the instruments are autoclaved. I'm a runner to manicures must get deep into my toenails which just grosses me out (and they're MY toes), and they get in there and do a great job. So far in over 100 marathons I haven't lost a toenail! I also get acrylic nails with sparkle tips (because deep inside lurks the heart of a 12 year old girl and the humor of a 9 year old boy) and LOVE how well they do them. I was going to another shop I loved, but as a loyal customer I was being pushed aside too often and when finally I had a 3 hour long appointment that was mostly waiting so that others could be seen first, even though I had an appointment, I quietly took my business elsewhere. I'm glad in my search I ended up here after another salon wouldn't give me a design on my sparkle tips with no explanation.
I have been going to Mylanna at Studio 51 for my hair needs for almost four years and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I have naturally curly hair that I have straightened with Keratin two times a year. Because of the price I want to maximize it. She never pushes me to get it done earlier (even if I should) but works with me to give me an amazing color and cut. I had last had my hair done for a TV commercial and while it was fun to have someone else color it for free, the color wasn't right. Mylanna fixed me right up and gave me color that everyone else believes is natural. When I wanted to go a little more daring she gave me sexy, but appropriate for my age (40s, but like think I look like I'm in my 30s) color. The women there are all professional but fun. The atmosphere is classy, yet fun. I never feel rushed or ignored. I have an appointment this week and I'm looking forward to it already!
When I was searching for a good, local artist to do a tattoo for me, I found Tattoo Garden on Yelp. I had my eye on another shop but when I read their reviews it was no way. Tattoo Garden had both great reviews AND amazing artistry.
I walked into the shop yesterday after contacting them via their Facebook Page. They (I am assuming Michael) responded to me on FB immediately and was very inviting and reassuring that my tattoo would not be too small to be worthy of his time. I brought some very rough drawings with me and he immediately got what I wanted. We worked together and came up with a simple but beautiful tattoo that really means something to me.
He did my tattoo today and I love it. I was very comfortable during the entire procedure from walking in to getting inked. It was only my second tattoo (the first was a small piece of flash on my ankle) so I was nervous.
If you're looking for a shop that treats you with respect and has AMAZING art, go see Michael. His designs are incredible, and I could not be more happy.
When my friend and former Veterinarian, Dr. Lisa Thompson, took a position with the Everett Animal Shelter I asked her for her recommendation. She didn't even have to think. She said "Dr. Dave Eitner!" I have taken my three dogs to see him over the last three years and every single experience has been outstanding. He is able to calm my dogs, even my "grumpy lump" chihuahua/Boston Terrier who does not make human friends easily, relaxed in his hands. The staff is professional and the facilities are well maintained and clean. But what is MOST important to me is that every single one who comes into contact with me and my dogs treat the dogs the way I do; with care, love, and respect.
This is the vet I would suggest to anyone who wants good, caring care for their animals. In fact, Dot is going to see him today and I know she will be SO excited!
I have run the Nike Women's Marathon every year for the past four years. After our first run, I was invited to this pub by a group of fellow running friends. I fell in love with it! Fun yet relaxed atmosphere, amazing food, fantastic service. My favorite is the Cottage Pie with a pint of hard cider. The first time we went, the owner also sent us over a round of pear cosmos. I'm not much of a drinker, but add a pint, a cosmo, and 26.2 miles of running and I was under the table. Fortunately it was a short walk from our hotel.
Great time and can't wait to go again this year!
I love everyone who works here. They are so friendly and kind. They give a GREAT pedicure, and Holly does the best designs on nails.
Price is good, place is clean, and there's lots of people watching from the salon as it is located inside Walmart.
The Bite was where my husband and I went on our wedding night in 1985. At that time it truly was a bite of Seattle with a lot of different places representing restaurants around the city. At the time each place offered a "bite" for $1. Obviously that price raised over the years, but for some reason 2011 very few were offering bites.
I really miss being able to go and try a variety of different things. Portions have become giant, and there were is not nearly the variety there used to be. The last few years I gladly went to The Alley where they really do offer high quality "bites" from some of the best restaurants around Seattle for $20, but for some reason Friday night they closed up 2 hours before the festival closed. I ended up getting a Bistro box at Starbucks. I didn't want a giant plate of noodles, a giant burger, or a giant hot dog.
A few places did have an apple next to their "healthy" offerings. I'm a personal trainer and pay close attention to nutrition, and more than a few weren't any healthier than running across the street to McDonalds.
Hopefully when I return after running a half marathon on Sunday, the Alley will be open. That truly is the best of the Bite.
Delicious! I was in the mood for Pho and found this one on Yelp, so headed straight over. I appreciate that they have more than one size, since many places the only size can feed 4-6 people. I ordered a medium which was way more than enough for my husband and I. I also ordered the spring rolls, which were wonderful with a good peanut sauce.
Ordered take out, so can't talk to the ambiance. Looked very similar to other Pho places.
This is a great place to go after I finish a marathon. There is a variety of food to choose from, and some very healthy options. I often go for the Mongolian grill, loading up on lots of veggies with shrimp. They do it perfectly every time, without loading it with oil.
The sushi is okay for a buffet. It's fresh, and I appreciate the smaller sizes so I can try a few things. I avoid anything I can make at home, or that is high in calories, so I can't talk about that stuff, but I do enjoy the decent salad bar, the grill, sushi, sesame balls, and fresh crab (if you can get it, some people were never taught that it's tacky to literally take ALL of the food in a buffet pan).
The only negative is that it's one of those places where people tend to allow their kids to run rampant, and I wish the staff would put a stop to it. Don't do the ice cream/frozen yogurt. I've seen kids lick off of the spigot more than once. Nasty!
