WATCH OUT for cashier who will try to charge you two times for entire order.
It was 10:30 pm on a Friday night, and I purchased 3 bottled waters and 2 empanadas. The empanadas are solid, so this review is for the shady service only.
The cashier swiped my debit card and said "oh, now you want to add more waters." I said "nope, I saw you already charged me for the three waters and swiped my card and I have paid." He said "no, you haven't."
I asked to provide a receipt for my order. He gave me a total which was not itemized. I had to request an itemized receipt.
The receipt showed I paid for everything already. He wanted to double dip on my credit card and think I wouldn't notice.
This cashier should be fired for outright trying to steal from customers.
Have gone to a few other places in the area, and have to say that Clarendon Nails and Spa tops all of the other Clarendon area nail salons.
The technicians are very attentive and detail-oriented. My gel pedicure has lasted almost 3 weeks here with minimal chipping. In the other salons, they chip in a few day sometime.
The man who works here is great.
I just stopped by once, and I think that is enough. I got the packaged coconut macaroon type treats.
They were just ok. The turn off here was the rude cashier. She seemed to be the baker as well. She was covered in flour, and took my credit card to swipe and got it all dirty. I didn't like her attiude and the fact that she had no problem dirtying my card, which I had to put back in my new wallet.
I love to support small bakeries like this one, but basic customer service was lacking that day.
This place has a lot of potential, but it's very overpriced for the quality of the food. I went for the first time last night.
Service was not bad, even though it was late.
The food was nothing special. I could probably make better pasta at home.. and for $18+ per dish, just too pricey for the food.
Ambiance is nice. I wouldn't return however. :(
Used to come here years ago, and stopped back again after a long time just last night.
The bouncer was extremely nice and helpful. It was raining, and he went out to get my friend and I a taxi.
Inside the place was pretty empty for a Friday night. The music here is great, tons of fun. I'm not sure what's up with this place, was all couples. Used to be more singles and friendly people. I'm guessing this isn't the place to go anymore.
Everything was going very great... very big salon, nice ambiance, very friendly receptionist, lots of colors, and the pedicurist seemed attentive.
The problem was they have no where to dry feet after the pedicure. My color came out a bit funky, I'm thinking the polish was not good, as in they had put water or acetone in it to make it last. It came out all wavy. Even though I sat and open-air dried my feet for 15 minutes, I put sandals on, and three hours later, sneakers. The nails never really dried. It got all messed up within less than a day.
Too bad, hopefully just a bad nail polish bottle. However, I told the pedicurist my concerns and she did not think it was a problem. With so many salons nearby, no reason to go back.
The place looked like it had a lot of potential. Got one round of lower end beers. Bartender took a long time to get beers when place was not busy at all. I paid him and included a generous tip and he didn't say thank you. Pretty rude.... I'd try it again and hope that the bartenders are attentive and appreciative.
Beautiful ambiance. Extremely comfortable place and classy for sandwiches.
My sandwich was tiny and tasted like Arby's. Very expensive for fast food quality. Unless the quality improves or menu expands, no reason to go back. what a shame!
Basically a damn good cheesesteak. I got the Bulgogi sub, but to me, it just was a regular cheesestake. I even got the Kimchee one... long line and service was a bit slow. Was very tasty, and a nice treat for yourself.
