I had such high hopes for this place, but it's just fallen into the groove of a greasy spoon. The food quality was no where near what I experienced on my first visit. The menus expanded, but in the wrong direction (closer to a 24hr diner than the creative menu items they started with). Very sad.
Love this place, just wish it was closer to home. Though the fact that it isn't probably is good for my waist.
Owner's are great, and love their use of local ingredients. Great coffee, even better food.
Whole Foods typically has great stores.
This one is not.
It's shoehorned into a downtown corner lacking a decent sized parking lot. I often think of where else I can go, simply because of how BAD the parking situation is. It doesn't help that's it's always busy, but I bet it keeps the accountants happy. Since it's such a small location it is packed with people, products, etc. Many products are in odd locations compared to other whole foods or even a typical market. I've asked employees for help locating items on several occasions, and often are uninformed or have no clue if they keep them in stock.
I will continue to stop here because I like whole foods (as a business) and it's the closest market to me, but if I'm really looking to go shopping it's not here. I'm much more likely to go to Stony Point Oliver's or even either of the Santa Rosa Whole foods.
I would say better management, bigger store, and better parking situation are really what is needed. I doubt any will be accomplished as long as that parking lot stays packed.
Not my favorite, but it's close.
Parking situation is wonky. It's a big lot, but... There is a physical rehab clinic that seems to think the entire parking lot to the strip mall is theirs. Very few slots for large vehicles.
The older employees are friendly, the younger seem more concerned when their next break is or shift is over. The majority of the staff is slow and you'll often find a wait here. They've got a nice seating area, but you'll be lucky to catch one of the nice seats not filled by some half asleep senior citizen. The drink prep station is much to large for the volume of customers they get. Therefore switching between drinks takes them too long. They don't seem to grasp the concept of multitasking either. It's one drink at a time...
They have messed up my drinks on more than one occasion with a handful of visits.
I'm likely to return due to it's location, but I'm not a fan. Still looking for a better option.
It's a "seafood" restaurant with a burger night and more chicken on the menu than fish. I think they are confused. There was 1 seafood dish that wasn't fried or a shrimp dish, and it was the special.
I went in one night to give it a try upon suggestion by a friend as a local's joint. There were a number of locals at the bar, and some good conversation, but the dining room was mostly empty. The menu is overpriced, short, and doesn't fit the theme.
One of the owners was tending bar, even though he seemed lost at it. He did have a friendly demeanor though. I guess it wasn't normally his thing, as one of the servers inquired if the bartender was coming in (he wasn't). His wife however, seemed a polar opposite as far as mood. She was very off putting. She has a big "that's work and I don't wanna bother" kinda attitude.
The place hasn't improved since my last review. I've been back a few times hoping things had changed.
Actually I think it's gotten worse.
They keep the bathroom key at the register like it's a 1980's gas station. Guess they are too understaffed to properly maintain the bathrooms.
I think the prices have gone up slightly.
The line setup is just as messed up as it was in my last review. Why bother having such a nice pastry case when the line doesn't take you past it to tempt customers? Why do you need 4 registers when you never use more than 2? Why do you force waiting customers to stand next to sitting customers whom may enjoy a bit more privacy? When you have room to put the line elsewhere?
There is many other, better, options in Santa Rosa for coffee. Including the starbucks across the street, or soco, or flying goat, or......
Been in here several times.
Love the menu, it's creative and thoughtful. Interior is nice.
Lots of staff friendly staff. Most are young and inexperienced, but try.
Have messed up my orders every time, without modifications.
I'm a regular.
Staff is professional and friendly. Often a line, but rarely a wait.
Rarely have to order anymore unless I'm getting something different.
They could do better at stocking their pastries, but assume that's a corporate supply issue.
