Can't believe this doesn't have any reviews. This is a clean, comfy motel just up the street from The Homestead. If you have the Benjamins to drop at the pricey place, be my guest, otherwise, this is a great option. (And maybe even is a better option even if you have the money--I took a shower at the Homestead and the water was freezing.)
Beautiful location in the mountains, friendly/easygoing staff. Some of the units have full kitchens so you can scramble yourself some eggs in the morning or whatever. It was a little more expensive than you would expect from how remote it is, but it definitely met my expectations (and I'm sure proximity to an Omni resort drives prices up everywhere, to an extent).
Wow, I first reviewed this place 5 years ago? Look, these guys are a class act. I apparently had some scheduling issue the first time I went, but not since. I do notice I usually sit in the waiting room for about 10-15 minutes upon arrival, but that's not a huge deal.
They have added a fourth dentist to the lineup..some guy whose name escapes me right now. He's a sort of aggressive "drill and fill" sorta dude and I'm not sure what to think about him, but Dr. Goldhush is awesome.
It pains me to do this a little, because as far as I can tell the owners of this place are doing the best they can, but this is not a good place to stay.
Listing on booking website: claimed free wifi, free breakfast, checkout at 11, and a few other goodies.
Reality: no breakfast, checkout was at 10, and the "wireless" was a tiny, half broken Ethernet cable that plugged behind the nightstand, making it impossible to sit anywhere but on the side of the bed to use the Internet. That nice ergonomic desk and chair was just for show, I guess.
The carefully folded towels in the bathroom concealed holes on their undersides, there was no hot water the first morning, and on the last morning my friend found a long-dead insect in his bed.
I give this place one star for being quiet and inexpensive compared to the surrounding area. Sadly, last I checked, "inexpensive" doesn't give you license to misrepresent your amenities.
Delicious coffee, good food, and a laptop-friendly atmosphere WITH FREE WIFI. Our hotel, despite promising wifi, didn't actually have any so NCCC was doubly welcomed.
They get their cream and milk from a local dairy in upstate NY and you can tell...it is delicious. The wraps were tasty (we got a Mexicanish one with beans and salsa; I forget the name) and reasonably priced. Again, though. Free, fast wifi. Outlets. Good atmosphere. I don't need anything else from a coffee shop.
Wonderful cabin located near the heart of Warrensburg. Very comfortable inside...though it was a lot colder than we'd planned for, we were toasty inside the cabin. The kitchen is comfy and the fire pit in the backyard is impressively large for a city slicker like me. If I'm back in W'burg again, I hope to stay at Bear Pine again!
