Still a family favorite. They make their own Naan in house, right when you order it., which is like carb crack and I can't stop eating it! The food is super fresh and the service is great. For under $8 a plate WITH Naan, it has got to be the most affordable, best take out place in Redlands, by far!
Boom. Foodie delight. Gastronomical goodness. This place does not disappoint me, ever.
My husband and I ate here recently for his birthday and had the chef's tasting menu. We were so very happy with our selection, and were fed like a king and queen!
Started off our tasting with ahi sashimi with garlic olive oil, the most delicious oysters with Yuzu sorbet (I about DIED it was so good!!!), with other selections that the chef handcrafted to be the tastiest morsels ever. I don't want to give away the whole menu, but by the time we got to the cheese course, we'd had 6 delicious courses with a desert course on the way. Pair this menu with wine and you have one of the more refined, perfectly portioned tasting menus in the inland empire.
I have dined here other times and had the general menu, which is also delightful. They have great seasonal specials and are very authentic to the Northern Italian style of cooking (lots of butter sauces, sage, game) that I love.
They had a delightful Reggae band playing in the main dining area at around 9, but I think they switch out the bands weekly.
Pa'ina seems to be the trendy new spot, being a local girl living on the mainland, I missed this whole "poke bowl" phenomena.
Enter Pa'ina, a trendy, dare I say hipster-ish deli style cafe in the heart of Ward Center. Great selection of Poke, with lots of different combinations already on the menu, or you can design your own bowl. I opted for brown rice and Tako Kim-chi, which was super spicy and delish. Service was pretty fast and the line was out the door, so the place is popular.
The one annoying part about this place is you have to walk buy the Vape stall to get there, nothings is more hipster than a bunch of boys in hats vaping, bleck. It's not Pa'ina's fault though, and I will be back!
When your brother tells you we are going to eat Korean food at a place called Millions (not Korean word)/. oh and it's open till 4 am and they serve Hite in soda style jugs.....your curiosity is spiked.
Had a nice dinner with family and friends at this place recently. First, the menu is HUGE, I mean bananas huge, if you can't find something to eat you should give your table or place in line to someone else and just leave. There is everything from your basic Korean dishes, like Bulgogi to the more adventurous tasties like Chicken feet. I settled for the tamer Mahimahi Jun.
Sides galore, my meal and jug o Hite hit the spot. There can be a little bit of a wait, be patient, totally worth the wait!
My husband and I bought a home from Marjorie about 5 years ago. When looking for a home, our specific home requirements (in Redlands, a Craftsman style home, something with character, on a main historical street on the South end of town, walking distance to downtown, our list was obnoxious!!) we were lucky enough to find Marjorie.
During the initial showing of our home one sunny Saturday, we fell in love, head over heals in love with our home. Minutes after seeing the house, we knew we had to make an offer. We began working with Marjorie on an offer immediately. She warned us that our sale wasn't going to be a cake walk, but we loved the home so much that we took on the "short-sale challenge".
Marjorie stayed at her office late hours and came in on the weekend to help us navigate each step with professionalism, patience, and care. Our little home may be the sale she will always remember because of the fuss the seller's bank put up, but at the end of the day we got our home and were proud to work with such a caring agent.
If you want a vintage home and a real estate agent who knows EVERYTHING there is to know about Redlands and the vintage home market, you need to talk to Marjorie. She is a very hard worker and will do her best to work around your availability for showings. We always recommend her to friends and family when searching our area for the perfect home.
Holy food heaven....Tinto is a BEAST!
My husband and I did the chef tasting menu with the wine pairings. Everything was delicious, cooked well and sopped in flavor goodness. The prawns were a little spicy for my taste, but I am a huge wuss. Also, for Tapas, the serving sizes were huge. I basically had to roll myself out of there like Verruca in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I was a straight up blueberry after this meal, ready to pop! Iron Chef tasting menu kicked my butt!
Delicious little piece of heaven, we will be back!
Call me a purist (as I write a review on a "fusion" restaurant) but when I get Bi Bim Bop, I want it to be a Bi Bim Bop. I ordered mine and what I got was far from a Bi Bim Bop.....it had MANGO in it, salad greens, carrots.....none of which were pickled, or of the Kim chi persuasion! At least, pickled beets would have given this dish the signature sour, spicy flavor I was looking for.
Seating area is small, but this place is tiny, so you need to get there early and fight for a table. The staff was super nice and food service was fast. I'll go back soon, maybe I should just order the tacos next time.
If there was a way to rate a place between a 3 and a 4, I'd totally rate The Lounge 22 a solid 3.5. Couple things that stuck out in my dining experience last night:
- The oysters were delicious, best I've had in a while.
- The Portabello fries were to die for!
- The salad was bitter and gritty, the waitress did remove the salad from our bill, which was nice of her.
- The Burrata toast was way over priced, I was expecting much more of a salad of burrata and tomatoes, with toast on the side, but got one slice of cheese bread for $10.
- At some point they changed a keg and rolled the empty one right out the front door, straight through the entire dining room, which I found hilarious!!
- They have some great local beer on tap and lots of bottle beer choices.
- Finally, I did opt for the Sparkling Brut happy hour special, and my Brut was warm....not just a little warm, WARM like they took the bottle off a shelf rather than from a fridge. I did not opt for glass #2!
The food was pretty good, but it is very obvious that they are still working out the kinks of being a new restaurant. I do appreciate that there is something new and delicious in Redlands!
I've trusted Little Buddies with my two little buddies (Nella and Sunners) for years. Leslie and Little Buddies will treat your pets as you would treat them, which in my case is spoiled and loved!
Both of my dogs are special cases, they are older and both need a multitude of medications. I never had to worry about whether or not they were being given the proper medications at the proper dosage, at the correct time of day. With other kennels and sitters that I had used in the past, I had my pets miss doses. With Leslie watching my girls, I never worried about this happening. She's the best!
I wasn't about all the initial hype, so I stayed away till a couple weeks ago. This place is awesome, the ice cream was beyond yum. There is always a line, and the waiting area is a bit small, but worth the wait. I had the salted caramel and it was to die for!!
