I should have just drove the extra ten minutes to Target! I came here because I was running low on baby formula and made the split decision to come in here because it is closer to my house, since I had my baby with me. Bad choice! I beelined straight for the baby formula, and they have it on lock down. I started to look around for a store associate and wouldn't you know, it seemed like everyone was way too busy to help.
I finally was able to get this associate's attention and he said he couldn't help because "the only people that have a key are in the Electronics Dept." Something about that seemed really suspicious to me, but at this point I just wanted to get out. So I walked over to Electronics and waited. And waited. And waited. I was standing right at the register but the two guys behind the desk were chatting about something, until one finally acknowledged me and said if I needed something. I told him I needed help with the baby formula to which he said, "Oh, there's a button you can push for help". (What in God's green earth.....)
I broke it down for him, explaining that someone shooed me away to Electronics stating that they have the keys. He laughed and cut me off and said that they straight-up lied. Wow... I feel so special and willing to spend my money here. Honestly if it wasn't so late in the evening, I would have just aborted mission and left. This use to be where I would get my prescriptions filled but I am changing that immediately. I don't need the employees to give me the run-around.
This place is pretty tragic! And it's sad cause I do see a lot of potential...
I came here to unwind and watch some games. Unfortunately, the waitress was clueless. We asked fairly simple questions; does this beer come bottled or drafted? She had no clue. Do you have these sausages? She had no idea and had to check.
Once the food came out, it was actually awful. Just heated up bar food, nothing that special. I will not be coming back just because it was a painful experience that wasn't worth the outcome.
you literally can blink and walk right by this place. try not to because this place definitely is worth the effort. I wouldn't call it a "hole in the wall" but more of a "nestled cozily" within the area. Food was really delicious - I had the chicken katsu, fried egg, and dumplings. I also tried their spicy tuna roll. I would like to go back to try their udon or ramen soup - I was eyeing them enviously!
My work has recently started inviting new food trucks to come on a weekly basis. This has been going on for a few months now, and the point is this has been THE BEST truck. I did not think I would be so impressed with a Southern food truck but on my goodness it was so delicious. I had the fried chicken sandwich with extra pickles and fries and everything was heavenly.
I also must mention that they were the friendliest of all the trucks! Some of the people on past trucks can be major divas. I sincerely hope that this truck comes back.
I was so stoked to learn that a Lush store opened up in this mall. I beelined straight for it as I have been wanting to stock up. The store seemed a bit small, and I mean that in the sense that I always felt like I was on top of someone, or I was going to jam my toe into a table or something. I came in knowing what I wanted to purchase, and thankfully I did so I would not have to fight over browsing and sampling things.
I do have to mention that I did walk in with the idea that the staff would offer samples (due to the fact that almost every review I've read on blogs and what not has mentioned it) and the staff would be super knowledgeable. I honestly did not have one person help me out, chat with me, or acknowledge me. Again, thankfully I did look up their products online so I knew what I wanted to get. I also have to bring up a rather unusual worker that did make eye contact with me and shake/shimmy her boobs at me. I don't know if that was her idea of helping me? Getting my attention? Not sure.
Despite that, I will be returning and stock up on some more amazing Lush goodies.
If you're from the area, you don't come to this In-n-out just cause you want to be surrounded by a bunch of sweaty tourists. You come here to watch planes landing and speculate what celebrity is in those mysterious black limos.
I just want to get this out of the way - parking here sucks. There, I said it.
As far as the food, it was simply amazing. Just straight-forward delicious semi-fresh fish and you throw whatever toppings, sauces, condiments that strike your fancy. If it wasn't so painfully far from me, I would become a regular! I hope to see one in my neighborhood in the near future!
So I was really excited to try this place out cause I had read all the amazing reviews. That's why I was so shocked at this poor experience I had here! I was meeting up with a group of friends, and the place was packed. While waiting for our table we had a couple of drinks at the bar. The bartender was really nice and did a terrific job. Once we sat down though, our server was a mess. The word of the night amongst my friends and I was "slow". It took forever to get our drinks ordered, took forever to get a round of water out (which only half the table was able to get water and then the server left and came back to take our drink order and then must have realized they had forgotten a whole set of people).
Our food took a long time to come out too. Our waiter just seemed kind of spacey, and the food was underwhelming. No one at my table finished their food. We wanted to just get out of this place, cause it was such a buzzkill but the check took a good 30 minutes to make its way over to us. I would understand if the place was still packed but once we all sat down the place emptied out and we were the only table left standing. I definitely will not be coming back here.
Each time I leave this place I feel like I am more part of their family. The environment is so welcoming and the level of care you receive is so refreshing. I'm never disappointed with my dish, and it's just a really intimate atmosphere. Any amount spent inside will give insight as to how many regulars feel the same sentiment. This is a family-operated restaurant and I feel more than happy to support a local business while stuffing my face with delicious Italian food.
I have really fallen in love with this place. I came here on the heels of a friend's rave. I was curious to try this place out as there is not many options for Mexican places in Cerritos outside of El Torito. I would recommend their burritos; they are really customizable and super-tasty! The service is really great, and I really appreciate a restaurant that is not afraid to experiment with tequila drinks! They are a must try!
