Best coffee shop in this area. Super friendly folks here and the coffee is superb. One of my favorite iced coffees in the city. I was sipping around with other coffee places in the area but Laughing Man has become my daily.
This is one of the places I probably go at least once a week. I'm particular about sushi, and the sushi here is quite fresh and well above average for a restaurant in this price range. I've tried a number of other dishes here too - the eel donburi is great, as is the tempura. Great value, delicious food, and friendly staff.
Not an exaggeration to say this place changed my life, and very much for the better. I'm in better shape at 37 than I was at 27, or really ever. After years of corporeal neglect, and proud to inhabit my form.
Crossfit is intense, but the gym is extremely well run, and the coaches are very diligent about making sure you exercise with proper form and safely. It's hard to even compare this place to a normal gym membership experience. You'll work for it, but you'll get in shape faster and more thoroughly than you had ever imagined possible.
I got in here via the Living Social deal as well but I'll definitely be back. This is a relatively new practice and thoroughly modern. All staff are incredibly helpful, courteous, and professional. Like another reviewer said, almost like going to a spa. Nicest visit to the dentist I have ever had.
I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Great quality without being pretentious. I'd highly recommend the rigatoni bolognese. There is a mushroom carbonara dish that is also very memorable.
I've had a number of exceptional service experiences at Fragole that have kept me coming back over the years. About a year ago, my girlfriend and I were eating at the bar. One of the bartenders (possibly also the owner?) broke a glass nearby. Not a big deal, but he was very apologetic and insisted on bringing us a glass of wine and a desert on the house. That alone would have qualified as unusually good service. At the end though, they also comped the whole meal. We left most of what would have been the cost as a tip.
You don't forget that kind of service. Great place, great food.
Feels more like a bar than a restaurant but the pizza is great. Between Luna Rossa and Lucali, pizza competition in the area is intense. I think SBP holds its own though. It has a very homemade quality. Of the daily specials, the clam pizza is definitely my favorite.
Maybe the best thing about this place is its low-key approachability. It's not a high pizza temple like Lucali. Supposedly you can bring your own ingredients and they'll put them on. A bunch of friends and I took the pizza class on Saturday. It's three hours of pizza instruction and and open bar for $30. Everything from mixing the dough and the sauce to tossing your dough in the air. Making your own pizza in that big oven is a true "behind-the-scenes" pleasure. Really happy to have this place in the neighborhood.
