Great place to find. Atmosphere is solid, indoor and outdoor seating. Carpaccio and bruschetta well excellent. I had the combination seafood pasta, which was also excellent-just was too full to finish the last few bites. Excellent service as well. Definitely will be back

I had bruschetta and a tuna pizza. My pizza was simply amazing! The atmosphere is nice and although the service is slow, they are very nice.

This place serves up a solid Margarita pizza. Crust is crispy but still doughy with some chew. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. This place makes an all around solid pizza that can stand up with the best in my opinion. Friend ordered the buffala cheese pizza. Both were great. First time in but would recommend again.

The food here was great! We had a business dinner with a mix of German and English speakers and they handled our party with ease. The quality of the food was outstanding-- I had the carpaccio appetizer and truffle ravioli and they were fabulous. The portions were definitely too much for me, but they were so good I wasn't complaining!

Let me start off by saying that when in Germany visiting Mainz is a must. A beautiful, smaller city situated along the Rhine. Mainz is loaded with great restaurants tucked away along cobblestone side streets and beautiful open spaces and German 'piazzas'. Architecturally it's food for the eyes. Al Cortile is one of several great restaurants. It has two levels with fireplaces. The space is modern and cosy and the menu is primarily Italian cuisine and German/Italian fusion food. Reservations are needed because its packed 7 days a week! I've been here many times and will continue to go!

Very very good! I'm an American from Texas and the people were quite friendly and accommodating. We had their baked ziti, calzone, and ravioli with some kind of green pesto-like sauce. It was all very good. I have to say the ravioli was one of the best dishes I've ever had. The decor was simple and relaxing. It was a little pricey but I think overall, worth it.

For me this is the best Italian restaurant in Mainz. Pizza, Pasta, Salads and especially the Panna Cotta are absolutely gorgeous!

Good selection of pasta and pizza dishes, which are prepared well and very tasty. Nice interior, professional and friendly staff. All in, a highly recommendable place (for vegetarians too). Only small drawback is they are so busy, they sometimes cram in the tables, so that not much privacy is to be had. But if you are just there with friends for a high quality meal, it's great.

Good setting and good food, but if some of the arrogant Italian garcons think they are superior to their guests by virtue of their pizza or whatever, they are mistaken. A good restaurant is made by the whole experience.
