Alter Moselbahnhof

Auf einer Radtour der Mosel entlang, entschlossen wir uns für eine Pause an jenem alten Bahnhof, alleine schon wegen des Blicks auf die Mosel.

Beim Blick in die Karte, wurde schnell deutlich, dass hier ein ca. 10% Aufschlag auf die Speisen erwartet.

Von der guten Qualität waren wir überrascht... denn zuerst machte die Lokalität den Eindruck, dass hier schnell abgefertigt wird, wir wurden jedoch eines Besseren beleert.

Der Service war überaus freundlich.

We stopped by on a bike ride, and although a larger restaurant we had a great drink & food stop here. Service was friendly and quick, and the Pfifferlinge Flammkuchen was great with lots of cheese, onions, and of course Pfifferlinge. Cappuccinos with properly whipped milk foam (to the delight of my wife). Not checked the rest of the menu but looked good.

We sat at at table for 20 minutes to be told the kitchen was "on a break" by the rude waitress.

Wanted to give it 4 stars but agree with others. For the location and proximity to water it just needs its own, or a better "ambiance". The food was good but nothing exceptional, although the pizzas looked good. Very fundamental restaurant located by parking and the river. Good service I can say and there is a smoking area and outside restrooms. Overall a nice experience but if you want more I would venture to old town.

Nice views of the Mosel River, but really poor quality food and mediocre service. The quiche we ordered was so salty it was inedible and the side salad was warm and drowning in syrupy dressing. The staff appeared more concerned with cleaning up for the evening than ensuring we were content with our meals. I recommend avoiding this place at all costs.
