Arthotel Munich

Mit diesem 3-Sterne plus Hotel waren wir sehr zufrieden. Der Übernachtungspreis inkl. Frühstück ausgezeichnet (günstig). Die Lage: in wenigen Gehminuten beim Hauptbahnhof, in ca. 20 Gehminuten im Zentrum von München (mit der Straßenbahn geht es schneller). Gute Verkehrsanbindung.

Gebucht hatten wir im Nebengebäude, beim überaus freundlichen Empfang bekamen wir ein Upgrade im Hauptgebäude. Zimmer 209 - mit Namen Charlie Chaplin. Überhaupt heißt das Hotel nicht umsonst "Art"-Hotel. Das gesamte Hotel, im öffentlichen wie Privatbereich umgibt den Gast Kunst, nahezu alles neumodisch. Sehr gekonnt, ansprechend und halt anders als in Hotel gewohnt.

Das Zimmer großzügig, gut ausgestattet inkl. Minibar (ohne Alkohlika). Nur sollte das House-Keeping darauf achten, auch unter den Betten zu saugen! Auch das Bad hat reichlich Platz, wenngleich eine Dusche in der Badewann nicht jedermanns Sache ist. Für ältere Personen ist der Ein- und Ausstieg in/aus der Wanne ein echter Risikofaktor. Aber in diesem Arthotel scheint das Publikum durchweg zur nicht alten Fraktion zu gehören.

Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt nichts aus - jeder Geschmack wird erfüllt. Wem der Frühstücksraum zu "rummelig" ist - ein Tipp: Im Durchgang zur Küche links ist ein weiterer Raum, den kaum jemand zur Kenntnis nimmt. Hier ist es luftig, leer, angenehm entspannt. Da nimmt man die paar Schritte mehr zum Buffet gern in Kauf.

Diesem angenehmen Gesamteindruck schließt sich das freundliche Personal an. Alles in allem also fast ein Fünf-Sterne-Kandidat. Wenn halt nicht die zahlreichen Wollmäuse unter den Betten wären ....

Excellent hotel! Our family booked 2 rooms for our visit from the US. Well situated within walking distance from restaurants, shopping and numerous public transportation options (local train station super close). Really enjoyed the full volume rain shower head in our bathroom (our kids didn't have it in their room though). The staff was very friendly & helpful and provided local suggestions once we asked. The provided breakfast options were tremendous and varied and helped fuel our days of adventure around Münich. I would definitely stay here again!

Very clean, nice staff. Good breakfasts in the mornings. Has a bar that opens in the evenings if you want to grab a drink. Only con about this hotel is the beds are terrible. Very very firm mattresses but other than that it is a nice hotel.

Even w the construction going on right outside our room this place gets my 5 stars... the breakfast is perfect w VEGAN options, including soy milk AND individual vegan butters which we do not have in the US!

It's been a while since I've been SUPER impressed by a hotel, but Arthotel left me feeling enthused AF after enjoying their many, MANY wonderful offerings. Where do I even begin...?

Review is for a 6 night stay in the ANNEX section of the hotel.

+ Staff was warm, efficient, and responsive to email
+ Suites were very spacious, lounge areas had a bar and neat modern furnishings
+ Free breakfast each morning was the best I've been to in my whole life. I was surprised that there were 4 kinds of milk, half a dozen cheeses, a dozen types of bread, hot food, fruits and veggies, a latte/espresso/etc machine, and champagne provided. This was such a huge added perk and my whole group loved it!
+ International power adapters were readily available for borrow with a security deposit, and they took USD
+ A legitimate ATM is housed right in the lobby
+ Location was perfect- right in the middle of downtown and a 5 minute walk to the HBF (train station)

- Construction on the annex was a little noisy at times, but they proactively provided us with multiple bottles of wine from the management team to compensate which was such a great gesture
- Staying in the top floor of the annex was tough- it's a tedious walk through the cold and up 3 separate flights of stairs. With luggage it's very inconvenient, but it looks like they're constructing an elevator for it soon

I'd give this place 10 stars if I could, and would recommend this to anyone coming to Munich for business or pleasure. Thanks, Arthotel Munich, for making my stay comfortable, restful, and fun!!

A fun and eclectic place to stay...from the bar and artistic furnishings in the lobby to the art in the hallways and nooks of interesting decor throughout the hotel, you're sure to have topics of conversation.in here. The staff is friendly for the most part and very helpful. We just had one female receptionist that was clearly having a bad day...at least that's what I'm chalking it up to because I'd hate to think that us being Americans were a burden to her. But all other staff were wonderful! You will need to reserve parking in advance or end up paying for street parking. All in all...very quiet, clean and comfortable.

The morning staff are a$$#@!&$!! My family met me at 3am to catch our train and the front desk demanded I pay for two extra people because it was after 10pm and how dare I not inform him I had "visitors staying the night." They literally walked in for all of 20 mins while I was finishing up packing and because he apparently/conveniently didn't see them, it cost me €100 because he was going to call the police if I didn't pay my ransom. He started yelling at me and threw my credit card at me like a toddler. Too bad too, decent hotel but will never return. 0 stars/1 by duress.

Honestly the best part of this hotel was the complementary breakfast in the morning. It was great, lots of options. The rooms are very small, but nicely furnished. The bathrooms are nice as well. The lobby is also very small. The staff is generally pretty helpful. The location is not absolutely in the best area. Its very urban and you must walk a while before reaching anything worth seeing. Overall, it was a good stay.

Having had an enjoyable stay at Arthotel Wein on a previous trip to Austria, I decided to give Arthotel Munich a shot on my recent trip to Germany. The hotel itself was decent despite a very noisy room, however, be ready to deal with a rude front desk staff especially coming in late from your day.

The staff is very friendly, the rooms are spacious and breakfast is good.
The underground parking spaces are rather small but somehow it works anyway
All in all a pretty convincing hotel.
Only 3 stars because my room was smelling badly from the bathroom - I was told it was because of some broken something...

If I could give this hotel 6 stars I would!!!

Imagine yourself traveling with your husband and 15 month old who goes to bed at 7:30pm. After 7 hours of traveling on a bus, plane and train we arrived at this hotel expecting to put our daughter to sleep and quietly eat our takeout and beer in the hallway of the hotel, hoping not to disturb the dragon asleep in our bedroom, who with the slightest sound could awake and cause havoc to all within a 2 room radius.

My husband and I jumped for joy when we discovered a huge hotel room, spacious bathroom, and most importantly a separate walk in area with a door separating the space from the main room. It was large enough for our daughters crib (which the hotel staff had prepared upon arrival with a baby blanket and pillow!). It was as if we had booked a suite for the price of a single room. (99€). My husband and I were able to eat our dinner in peace in the comfort of our hotel room, watch some episodes of "making a murderer" on our iPad all whole our daughter slept peacefully in a separate room just feet away.

The hotel was super clean, modern and the staff was so polite and nice, even hand walking a cup of coffee up to my room for my husband while I carried my daughter. So thoughtful!

I would rebook this hotel in a minute and recommend to all my friends who visit here. Also it was only a 5 minute walk from the train station and has a luggage room. Amazing!
