I would not recommend staying in this hotel. The price to quality ratio is poor.

The worst part was the room, it was very uncomfortable. The bed gave us both backaches, even though I'm not picky about about mattresses. This one was just extremely uncomfortable. Also it was very hot, even with the window open and cool fall temperatures outside. We even tried to put the cool air on but it didn't seem to work at all.

The room was very tiny. Even though we are not big people, we could barely fit between the wall and bed. There was very little storage space, making it difficult to unpack even for a weekend.

The room only had one small chair. It should at least have space for two people to sit.

The coffee is instant powdered coffee. The in room refrigerator is extremely small - fine for a couple of bottles, but won't fit leftovers.

Other than the room - breakfast is really expensive - 26 euros per person, so we skipped that. The lobby does not have comfortable places to sit - with such a claustrophobic room, we would have liked to have some options.

The location is ok, but not great. Walking in certain directions does not seem very safe.

If you do stay - there is a good breakfast place/bakery just down the street that is very good. Skip the hotel breakfast and go to the Bäckerei.

I stayed here for 1 night upon arrival in Berlin and before taking an intercity train to Halle the next day. The Hotel is located within the old East Berlin, which piques my interest regarding the history and subsequent refurbishment of buildings here. There's a modern front part that houses the Hotel and common areas, and then a more historical looking part on the back side.

The art'otel is located close to the the subway and within easy walking distance to the various sights along or near Unter den Linden. One morning and with map in hand, I walked to a remaining section of the Berlin Wall and figured out which parts I was walking used to be in West or East Berlin.

My hotel room was nicely appointed, but not fancy, and with a comfortable bed. That's really key on my first jet-lagged night. Breakfast was extra, but varied and tasty. Front Desk service was friendly and helpful, especially with directions.

The hotel is located within a minute or two from the u-bahn (subway) station Märkisches Museum. It is also within walking distance to Museum Island, Alexanderplatz etc. so the locations is really good.

Service was pretty good, arrived early but was still given the room at once. The room itself was small but clean. It is marketed as an art hotel and yes there is some art on the walls but nothing special. The rooms are further not very impressive from a design perspective but everything was clean and fairly new. I was missing coffee/tea making facilities as well as an iron and ironing board. There was further not really a good desk to work at (was ok for short periods of time). A/c was working well (but heard many other complaining so there seemed to be problems in some rooms).

The bathroom was perfectly fine. The placement of the shower head was a bit strange and it the water temperature varied greatly (watch out to not burn yourself, it could go from slightly cold to scolding instantly).

Did not try to breakfast as it seemed very pricey compared to having breakfast at a cafe. Staff were friendly but also slightly confused - had to spend considerable time to clarify if my pre-paid rate had actually been pre-paid. All settled after a while, and service was friendly, but could have been smoother.

My second stay in an Art Otel. Clean, modern, friendly, warm. The best staff. Fabulous customer service. Highly highly recommend. Quiet top floor suite. Never heard my neighbors, which is key to me! Good location. Quiet neighborhood 15 mins walk to Unter den Linden and all the action. Will stay in an Art Otel any chance I have.
