A very good steak restaurant which is always crowded. The main item on the menu is steak, but there are some alternatives also. The choice of steak is very good, and it comes standard with a baked potato with sour cream and a salad. The service is fast, friendly and personal. You can sit outside but I would advise against it, as this is located on a very busy street. Inside it has massive wooden furniture and a nice atmosphere. The food is always done exactly as you request. This is one restaurant I always return.

On our last night in Hanover, I was craving something similar to a good old American Steak House. Wound up at Block House, 20 minute walk from the hotel. All outside tables were taken! Curious, DOES ANY RESTAURANT IN HANOVER HAVE AIR CONDITIONING???????????. Holy cow, it was in the upper 80's today. AC would have been nice, and, a little ICE would be nice. (Heard it's a European thing, not AC nor ice). Ordered a steak, baked potato (Yes, finally a baked potato and NOT Pommes Frites!!). And, specifically ordered 2 drinks: Glass of Riesling and a Sprite WITH ICE. Got my wish... although, 2 ice cubes in a glass of Sprite does not last too long when it's approaching 90 degrees. Heard this is one of the nicer steak houses in Germany, but, really seems more like a Texas Roadhouse type establishment.

This is our favourite place in Hannover if we want to dine later at night. The restaurant is open until midnight and offers steaks of constant good quality. The service is mostly friendly although not always attentive. Public parking in front of the restaurant. In the summer a few tables outside (until 10 pm). Recommended.
