Found this cafe by accident one night in Berlin while looking for another restaurant. This place was busy and looked interesting so we went in!
To start the staff is a bit slow to come over and take your order, but if you can deal with that the ambiance is awesome here and so was the food. There's beautiful stone walls inside, a nice clean bar, and comfy indoor and outdoor seating.
For dinner i had the chicken nachos. A pretty common meal in the USA but not in Europe. Therefore, I was surprised when i got It that the chicken was freshly grilled, with top quality melted cheese and a lot of it! My dad got a pizza which was also nice and they used cheddar cheese instead of mozzerella, a bit strange but nice none the less.
On draft they had some great german beers and many other choices for beverges as well. Even though the service here is not awesome at all, The food was quite good and so was the beer.
Overall I would say my experience was positive, but I am in no way dying to go back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (MarkRi…)Berlin4312010517. Dez. 2007
You're never going to go hungry or thirsty in Friedrichshain, although our waiter did try his best. On the plus side the restaurant is large and spacious with a varied menu on offer. For me this is the most compelling offering from Cafe 100 Wasser; serving traditional German fare alongside Mexican and Italian does threaten to be Jack of trades and master of none. However the schnitzel I had was excellent and the extensive drinks menu means that you don't need to rush off to a bar once you've eaten.
I'd have preferred a larger non-smoking area but January's reform should more than rectify this problem.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Pretty K.Greenwich Village, Manhattan, Vereinigte Staaten417228. Aug. 2017
Great breakfast, nice waitress, loved the Bircher Müsli! This place has been here forever, since the 90s, really from the barrio.

I had heard about this place for quite a while and today finally tried it for lunch. I had the pork medallions with a mushroom cream sauce, bratkartoffeln and salad. It was on the lunch specials and everything was very tasty indeed.
I don't think I had to wait particularly long for the food I got. I had enough time to thumb halfway through a magazine (I wasn't reading just flipping through pages really).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Flow V.Berlin111289918. Nov. 2009
The staff is nice, they have free internet, and they have a good breakfast menu for good prices. Perfect for a holiday in Berlin.
I had breakfast here quite often when I didn't have internet and a kitchen in my house yet.
The only thing I know about the afternoon / dinner menus is that they offer almost everything :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Viet-Anh H.London, Vereinigtes Königreich12193863. März 2009
Sunday brunch is somewhat of an institution in Berlin, but on my most recent visit I just couldn't fit it in my schedule so had to opt for a Saturday brunch instead.
Cafe 100 Wasser was a good place for this. The place is big and the options available were decent The fresh fruit on offer was amazing (kiwi fruit, pineapples, the sweetest oranges ever, starfruit, watermelon), and the delicious rectangular pieces of moist cake sealed a perfectly relaxed Saturday morning.
At EUR7.90 not including drinks it's great value for money even with the poor sterling to euro exchange rate.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ken J.Glen Ellyn, Vereinigte Staaten157820. Dez. 2013
This place has everything . . . or almost.
Seriously, the menu is so extensive it'll take you a good few minutes to decide what you want. The interior is cosy and warm with natural wood tables and chairs and a candle burning on each table. The waitress was very friendly and efficient.
Food was quite good. I had the bruschetta and an order of olives (black and green) with feta. My brother ordered the small pizza. Bruschetta was excellent with fresh tomatoes, plenty of garlic, on nice crispy bread. Olives were delicious and cheese was perfect.
Nice place to come, hang, have a beer (or two), and watch the world go by. Since there are many nearly identical placees in the neighborhood, you really can't go wrong with this one.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (MarkL4…)Berlin681. März 2008
I completely agree with reviewer MarkRitchie about this place.
I've been here two times, and while I don't remember anything in particular about the food taking long the first time, the second time I waited (no exaggeration) over an hour for my food to arrive. Additionally, the prices are a bit on the high side especially considering there are so many other places to eat in very close proximity.
However there are also some very nice things about this place, perhaps most notably the highly varied menu. I got lasagna one time, and some Portuguese chicken dish the other and loved both of them. Also the restaurant is very spacious and comfortable.
Bottom Line: If you are with a group of people who might want very different foods, this might be a great place to check out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Younjin O.Berlin69711. Jan. 2015

For some reason, the brunch is extremely popular here. I arrived at 14:45 and Brunch is advertised to last until 16:00. Barely anything left, nothing refilled, sternos taken away, so food that is there gets cold. Now I understand that I arrived on the later side, but if you are going to seat people and take their money, then, sorry....you gotta actually provide proper food. This is the norm at many places in Berlin...still doesn't make it right.
