This review is based on two stays. My first impression here was that the parking is severely lacking and the underground parking garage was being used as a staging area for construction activities. Even when the construction is completed, there will only be very limited parking available.
On my first stay I had to wait over thirty minutes to check in and I arrived at check-in time. My room was recently renovated but it wasn't that impressive and I was given a room with no view. This hotel is within walking distance to a bridge that crosses the harbor so that you can walk to the Rheinturm. The staff gave me good directions to where I wanted to go. Everyone that I encountered spoke good English and were polite.
On my second visit I was given a room on the top floor with an excellent view of the Rheinturm; what a difference! There is a restaurant in the hotel that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. As an Elite Platinum member, I was disappointed that I was charged for WIFI but was pleased that I got a nice view on my second stay.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - 25. Apr. 2013
Located in the up and coming trendy Media Hafen area along the Rhine, this is a pretty standard Courtyard. The lobby looks to be fairly recently renovated and has a full service restaurant and bar. There is also a 24 hour mini shop that sells snacks and drinks.
Rooms are par-for-the-course Courtyard and are more American than German in style (full king mattresses and duvets vs. the European split style). Ours was large, with lots of closet storage. My beef with the room was that our mattress was old and lumpy and clearly needed to be replaced. The bed frame was also played out and creaked loudly every time one of us moved meaning it was not a restful night.
Service was "ok" - the evening desk attendant wasn't especially pleasant or helpful when we had questions about wifi. Be aware that this hotel isn't terribly close to the city center and the tram lines are kind of torn up right now, so you my need to take a cab or drive in the short term.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 21. We were staying here one night while visiting family for Easter and I have no complaints. We got a room on the 4th floor with a king-size bed and the room appeared to have been renovated fairly recently. Everything was in a great condition. The room had a nice size and the bathroom was pretty spacious as well. A free bottle of water came with the room and complimentary fruit and water were available in the lobby at all times.
The service at the front desk was friendly. Same goes for the cleaning staff I met.
The fitness room was on the smaller side bit still featured a treadmill, an elliptical and a stationary bike as well as combo-machine for strength training and a few free weights which is sufficient if you are just staying a night or two.
They also had a coin operated tanning bed next to the fitness room. Water and complimentary fruit were available in the fitness/wellness area as well.
In-room-WiFi was free for one device.
Only downside was the parking situation. There was no free on-site or street parking although the hotel is a bit off from the main streets. We were able to find free parking about half a mile away from the hotel eventually though.
I am definitely considering staying here again if the situation arises.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - John K.San Luis Obispo, Vereinigte Staaten1035815. Aug. 2017
Stayed here while on our honeymoon. Were very happy with our stay. The staff was nice and helpful. Our room was clean, had a great view and plenty of amenities. We at at the in house restaurant Julian's our first night there and the food was amazing. What a great steak. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for one night to catch a flight. Paid extra for a harbor view and was not disappointed. The room rate is higher than your regular Courtyard (the rate is more like for an actual Marriott) but the actual room is very nice, open and clean. Location wise, it's a bit far from city center but once you figure out the public transit nearby, it's actually not that bad. However the thing is, there's a lot of construction in and around the hotel area so be mindful that access to hotel will be a bit cumbersome. Before I arrived I had researched the quickest route to hotel from hauptbahnhof by tram. But unbeknownst to me the tram changed its course halfway due to all the construction and I was left in an unfamiliar territory. Thank God for Google Map! I had to lug my suitcase for a long walk in the cold and through construction sites with no taxi stands in sight. It was an inconvenience. But once I arrived at the hotel and saw the harbor view from my room all that negative feelings vanished. The front desk made me feel welcome and was helpful. I debated whether to take taxi to airport the next day as I had an early flight and heavy suitcase. The front desk and Google quoted me €40, which I thought was high for 8 miles!! Eventually I figured out a way to take bus to hauptbahnhof and train to airport. I've had bad experiences taking taxi in European cities so I opted not to take taxi, esp around hotels and train stations, the sharks are out to slaughter tourists. Anyway, if you have time, check out nearby restaurants and Frank Gehry buildings. They're worth a visit.

We really enjoyed the staff's hospitality and the onsite restaurant, "Jullians". Incredible dinner selections and great service. The rooms are modern with a great bed. I would not hesitate to stay here on my next trip.

I really like this hotel and the location in the trendy media hafen with restaurants and modern buildings. Never found it noisy (German review) but ask for an inner courtyard room (I am really sensitive). Big plus: weekend breakfast til 3pm!!

Visited here last year during the summer of 2012 with my university on a summer tour. This is a really nice place to stay at and we had a great time. I would definitely go back again.
