Delicious

Vegan-friendly traveler's oasis.
After a long day of travel from North America we needed something hearty and vegan-friendly. This place was perfect! Papa Lufu greeted us at the door and was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious (as the name suggests ).
I had the Äthiopian, and my friends had the Guinea. Both dishes were similar: coconut curry sauce over a mix of grains and vegetables, though mine had chickpeas and was more savory, theirs had mango for a sweeter profile. Both topped with okra and garden egg (new to me).
Papa Lufu himself was another great part of the atmosphere: rocking dreadlocks, reggae, and Bob Marley flags, he had the laid back attitude you might expect. However, stories of emigrating from Guinea to Portugal and further adventures into Europe were interesting. He spoke English at our table, German at another, and French at the bar, all on top of his native Portuguese.
