Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jim P.Palatine, Vereinigte Staaten013030. Juni 2023
Quaint little coffee shop close to main Frauenkirche square. They only have a few tables, reservations are required, and it is cash only. They have a full selection of coffee and espresso drinks. Their specialty is a local desert Eierschecke. We had the classic and it was excellent, very rich and filling. The have special varieties sometimes but not the day we visited. The have a salami and cheese plate for breakfast also ...but that is all, it is a very limited menu if you don't want the Eierschecke.

This popular coffee shop has limited seating, but it is really cosy and the owners are charming. We dropped in for afternoon tea and tried their homemade Eierschecke (a light eggy cheese/custard cake) and Mohnschecke (the poppy seed version). Both cakes were delicious and we thought that their cappuccinos were excellent!

Alright so we came here because TripAdvisor said this was the number one restaurant in Dresden. It's not a restaurant. It's a coffee shop with one type of pastry. Now the pastry was delicious, but when I thought I was getting lunch, it was disappointing haha. The place is VERY small. We didn't know this and went it with our huge American stroller *face palm* I'm glad we tried this unique cake but I would not return here.

Excellent place for local coffee and Eierschecke. We absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciated it's hidden location. It's a real insider tip. You will not regret going there!

Great local coffee, excellent service and the Eierschecke was divine (this is an egg/quark cheesecake - a Dresden specialty and an old family recipe at this particular cafe). Small cafe with limited seating but would be worth waiting for.

A delightful and charming cafe in the heart of Old Town. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Try the Dresdner Gedeck...you won't regret it!

Best 'Eierschecke' I have had in my whole life. 10 different kinds of hot chocolate made out of real chocolate. Very very delicious
