Enchilada

This place is great, if you are into Mexican food like me. I am talking about authentic Mexican food. Here at La Enchilada you get authentic Mexican food as I was told by my Mexican friends. So I guess they should know that better than anyone else.

If you are lucky and the weather is pleasant I recommend to sit outside in the patio while enjoying your meal.

We had delicious Enchiladas de Maiz con Pollo, which is cheese-topped chicken corn tortillas with bean cream and salad as well as the Enchiladas Combinadas, which is a cheese-topped chicken corn tortilla, a wheat tortilla with chili con carne filling and a wheat tortilla with vegetables filling served with rice, salad and salsa. So if you are more the type of person who need variety, choose the latter. Though this mentioning is relative, I would say that these enchiladas are not super-hot but also not totally mild. So it is something in between.

The staff is very friendly and also speak English. The prices are reasonable and you get much for your money. The opening hours are also nice since it closes weekdays at 01:00 am and on Fridays and Saturdays at 02:00 am. The only thing is that on weekdays La Enchilada opens late, not before 17:00 (05 pm) but at least on Saturday and Sunday at 12:00 (noon).

The Cocktails and Limonades are delicious.
Price of a non-alcohol Cocktail is 5,90€ and a Limonade is 3,90€.

2 and a half hours waiting time? Are you serious???
In my whole life I have never experienced something like this. Look - if you know the place is going to be crowded that night, why aren't you staffing up?
Can't except this kind of service. Thanks for nothing.

Tired of German food? Go there and try the Mexican specialities. The quality of the food is good and even simple nachos are delicious.

Cocktails are also available and make it a place to start the evening before heading to a club.

Prices are slightly higher than usual but are in phase with what you can find at ludwigplatz.

The order was there quite fast, there were also only 2 midday courts. I took the fish pan and my colleagues Buritos.


Approx. 20 min. later finally our meal also came. Tasty both courts wer quite bad, i am used to have better peppered meal from the maxicans. The rice of my fish pan was cooked already very softly and the Tortillas were very pulled. The salad, that was also handed on the plate was beautifully fresh and crispy.


Alltogether the meal was not good. however it was too little so we didn't get fully. The drinks were with 2,20 EUR, for a small Apple lift,clearly over the average.

Good Mexican food, I can only recommend it. The restaurant is large, so you will always find a space.
