Urbanes Ambiente in einer ehemaligen Fleischerei... Speisekarte ansprechend und auch geschmacklich in Ordnung. Wir sind hier gelandet wenn es im White Trash nebenan (leider jetzt umgezogen) zu voll war.

This is a downmarket concept restaurant which might appeal to some. Not me. The accent seems to be on primitive Ikea, with chunky iron and wood tables and benches matched with rather uncomfortable seating which all looks rather DIY.

The food is not great value for money either, and the best bits were the free bread dips. The blutwurst was quite OK but not hand-made and was actually served cold, as was the potato salad. The fish soup was laughably expensive even though it was only 9 Euro. A child could have done it.

The main course was the special, tuna and pangasius, and the tuna was done quite nicely, juicy and rare in the middle. The ginger risotto was fine except for the lack of ginger, and tasted rather bitter.

The restaurant is based in an old butcher's shop and this is evidenced by the tiles around the place. There was a slide projector flashing various odd pictures on a wall, and the bar area is too high and too close to the dinner tables.

Overall, it is a bit of a disappointment, but it's bohemian enough to attract a certain kind of clientele.

Stumbled into this place on a cold November evening. Crowded, noisy, warm and welcoming even on a Wednesday evening. Don't be put off by an unfinished appearance. The brief menu is well selected. Everything we ate was somewhere between good and great. Definitely worth a visit.

Gorgeous crisp chrysanthemums against vintage tile walls and candle-like lamps provide a soft touch against austere interior

Fantastic beef tartare and steaks in a raw-glamor design that somehow manages to synchronize into an elegant atmosphere. The dishes are presented with a refined, artistic touch that elevates this place above your run-of-the-mill continental food eatery. I love that sides are a la carte, so you can decide to balance your steak with roasted brussel sprouts or mushrooms instead of mash, although you may regret that decision once you steal a bite off your partner's plate. I love the carefully selected Austrian wines, even if they're on the pricy side. Try a Blaugelt, if it's just for the cool name. A very cool, urban eatery for a sllghtly special occasion that lacks the stuffiness of more bourgeois German restaurant

I found the forced stylish flair tiring. We had to wait almost as long for the menu as for our food, the selection is rather small, the prices rather high. When the food finally came, it was fairly tasty, but the portions are too small.
We went next door afterwards, for a huge burger

Ambience can't compensate for poor-quality ingredients, rancid frying oil, and the most un-self-respecting kitchen staff I have ever encountered. We both felt sick and disgusted and resolved never to return again.

Beautiful, chic yet comfortable ambiance and centrally located. The food was excellent and well-plated. Dined with a large group for a client meeting (about 10 adults) for dinner at 7 pm, and was unfortunately repeatedly badgered by the waitress to hurry and order because the restaurant was expecting another large party at 9 pm. The waitress also heavily suggested that we choose from a fixed menu to accommodate the very busy kitchen. I was not able to comfortably enjoy my meal, nor order what I really wanted-- all because the establishment had simply overbooked. Quite disappointing and unprofessional on this restaurant's part. The food was great, the staff was attentive, but I wouldn't dine here again due to this restaurant's operational style.

I visited the Fleischerei on Saturday with two friends. The restaurant itself is somewhat typical for
Berlin with a minimal décor and a shared table setting, which is nice if this
      is your cup of tea.
There's quite a lot of choice on the menu, including fish and vegetarian dishes
but I would be somewhat confused if a vegetarian would go to a restaurant carrying
this name. What turned out for us to be quite a nice, but somewhat
overpriced meal, towards the end of the night turned into the most unpleasant
restaurant experience I've had in Berlin since I moved here.

After having paid the bill we decided to stay a bit longer for the typical
after-dinner chit chat and enjoy our drinks.
We were however quite brutally interrupted by our waitress who asked us
in a fairly unusual way if we enjoyed our food this was the 3rd
time we were being asked this question.

When responding positively to this question, the waitress in question then
replied with a 'then why didn't you leave a tip' followed by 'you must leave a
tip don't you think it's normal to leave a tip?'
Insisting on receiving a tip really took me by surprise but when I looked round
I saw the whole staff starting at our table. Regardless whether we wanted to leave a (cash) tip before
actually leaving the restaurant, which is something we actually always do, I
think it is incredibly rude, unprofessional and reputation-crashing to talk to
your guests in this manner in a full restaurant. We threw some cents on the table which in hindsight we
shouldn't have done as the waitress in question simply destroyed any positive
image we had of this place. For us this is now
simply an overpriced, pretentious eatery ran by rubbish staff.
We will never go back and recommend you to try out any other German restaurant
      in the area.
Your Schnitzel will probably taste the same, be cheaper and will be served by
someone with a smile on their face.

Overall, the food was good but unreasonably priced to what was served. The quality of the food suggested that the price should have been half the asking amount. The service was very slow, especially for the lack of customers in the restaurant.

The most irritating part of the experience was that they did not serve wine at the 1/4 L per glass but instead at 1/8 L at a rate of 4 euro! Similarly, the beer was served in smaller portions at extortionate prices.

I wouldn't recommend visiting the restaurant.

fleischerei is definitely one of my favorite places in this neighbourhood. i love the butcher flair, the food is great, the stuff has always been super friendly and i discovered some great austrian wine there. just ask the owner for a recommendation. don't hesitate to give fleischerei a try...

      Food: 3/5
      Service: 5/5
      Ambiance: 4/5
Been for the third time, almost always the same experience.
First course, Beelitzer asparagus soup: too liquid, warm milk with some piece of asparagus. Disappointing (5 euro = too cheap to care for the chef?), everyone can do better at home.
Main course: Filet with fries and bearnaise. Meat is perfect, but fries and bearnaise disappointing. Fries were deep-fried, what is astonishing for this upper price segment restaurant. It fits not to the quality of the meat! Why? For good fries in Berlin, check for instance "Volta burger". Bearnaise lacked some taste (scalions, white wine or vinegar missing?). For top notch Bearnaise, check "la bonne franquette".
Wine by the glass was only "ok" (pinot noir from austria, and another i do not remember)
Service was really really good! Top top top (realised we did not much liked the soup, gave us something to make it better).
The kitchen is the problem. It could be a great place.
