Aside from the fact the store is one massive air conditioned/ walk in refrigerator (which in Berlin during a heatwave in 2010 alleviated my two year old's heat rash) this place is a foodie dream denial. Check your bank balance before you stock up on produce! But do have lunch at the in house kitchen and dream of what you would buy if money was no option. The staff are very nice.

Quiet, courteous people. Bargains.

In addition to the other two Qype-imported reviews - please read those - FP shop has top quality and an elegance completely forgotten by the local and widespread chisler-mentality. The irony is, it is possible to make a visit and find flavourful alternatives to the minimum-wage mentality {.. eventually leads to McDonalds.} which are affordable.

It seems when stuff is about to 'go' according to the date, the management is on top about marking it down. The thing to remember is these are quality items with quality ingredients; dates for foods, are based on industrial, standard look-up tables which include the lowest-quality items, of which, don't remain fresh as long, and/or were so stabilized with hydrogenated crap at the Twinkie factory, they were never edible to begin-with.

Note: the 15% off on the first mondays does not seem to apply to discounted items.

Love it! This place became something like a personal foodie paradise for me. They have a unique selection of products unavailable anywhere else. Definitely worth a visit.

The place is dangerous! I haven't yet figured out how to shop here without spending a good part of my salary. It's heaven for people who like to cook. And for people who like to eat. Well, for people who like to cook and eat. The staff is is courteous and helpful. It's my one-stop shop for special occasions like Thanksgiving and Christmas because they usually have everything I need. And. It smells so good. I'm hungry. :-(

The Frischeparadies offers exotic and exquisite produce, it probably is the largest delicatessen in East-Berlin. From Rambutan to lardo di colonnata to criollo chocolate you'll find almost anything for which a gustatorial craving exists. It's a subsidiary of the main store in Charlottenburg. The pricing level is adequate.
