This restaurant is ok. The food is ok. Service is slow, but staff is nice.
Menus are all in German but our server spoke English. We knew a couple of German words, and used context clues to figure out what some of the items could possibly be since they used Italian for most of the names of the dishes (but not the description).
We walked in at the same time as a small family at an apparent peak hour and none of us were greeted when you walk in. We were unsure if we had to wait to be seated. We ended up finding the only table available which had not been bussed yet. It took a while for the server to come over and clear the table and a bit longer for him to take our order.
They make Italian food - pasta dishes, pizzas, Italian desserts, and more. It was nice to have a bit of variety after having all the Swabian dishes we'd had earlier in the week. My friend and I both ordered a pizza - Neapolitan style cooked in a beautiful open oven. I had the pizza devino (I think) which had prosciutto and pineapples (ananas). I would have liked it more had the pineapples been fresh and not canned. Maybe they don't have much of an option for tropical fruits here - although I had fresh pineapple in the morning at my hotel the same day. I also had a machiatto which was very good and perfectly warming after a long cold walk. They also carry wines and beer.
We waited quite a long time to pay for our meal. This was a little fruatrating. You can pay in Euros or a certain local card (no regular credit cards).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
