Has everything you need for every day of the week or duty in your home and office. The kind of store you want to buy your deli meats and office desk supplies. If you like Walmart. Just take something with a translator tool because you will want to know what items to buy.

So many things that I would love to see from a store in North America. I like that I can have a beer and lunch while my wife shops. The restaurant is not bad either. I enjoy the Schnitzel. It is an overall great shopping experience. We actually prefer shopping here to going on Base at the Commissary. Globus is cheaper, fresher, and friendlier than on base shopping.

Update! Recycling your glass bottles here is too easy. Even if you forget to cash in your receipts after purchasing groceries, the cashier (atleast when I asked) will willingly give you cash back as long as you made a purchase. The fresh food in the grocery store is lovely, we were able to get a whole slab of salmon, fresh ahi, and even got FREE sauce to cook it in! The service is awesome as long as YOU are awesome :p

This store offers a variety of things like: toiletries, electonics, food, beer, wine, and other randomly selected trinkets you may stumble upon. I've been here a few times with my husband but have found the selection of items listed to be very limited. Another thing I find a little inconvenient is how everything is written in German, I mean we are in Germany but we are also in Kaiserslautern which they call 'K-Town' which is also known as little American so you'd think that they'd be a little more English friendly but no...
I have to at though when you walk into the store you will see so many other little stores inside which I actually find very appealing because you can find all kinds of things you may need there. There's a clothing store, flower store, little restaurants that serve all kinds of food like stir fry, pizza, even a bakery! The place smells amazing, but I have yet to give those restaurants a try.
They also have a recycling center that gives you store credit when you return bottles! Only catch is the bottles need to be GERMAN brands. If they're not, they will reject them, which I find is very inconvenient. Buying water on the German economy is too overpriced, not being able to return water bottles from 'American' brand water is ridiculous and frankly a little prejudice in my opinion. The store is already as expensive as is, being picky on what kind of bottles we return is absurd and that made me quite upset. - 6753461231. Okt. 2019
Very large location with almost everything to choose from. The only thing we did not see was the ability to buy food that was hot, but they had plenty of prepared meals to buy and take home to heat up.

This store is similar to a Super Target (kinda, but they can't hold a candle to Globus, as they lack selection), their bread, cheese, deli, condiment and beauty selection is out of this world. Globus opens from 8:00 to 22:00 Monday thru Saturday(which is later than any other German retailer I'm aware of).
You can also get your shoes fixed (I was charged 5€ to repair the heel of my sandal), drop off your dry cleaning, do some banking business, plus use the post office (at the information desk), while doing your shopping.
I really wish we had a Globus in Southern California. Stores in the U.S. have a lot to learn...
and please don't compare this magical store to Walmart...Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 10. Dez. 2020
My favorite grocery store in the area! First off, i really appreciated that (pre-COVID) they offered English speaking tours to teach new people to the area the ropes. If you're new, hop on their Facebook page and (once the can start offering tours again) sign up for one! The building itself has a cobbler, a pharmacy (Apotheke), a couple of clothes stores, and a number of places you can eat. The groceries all seem high quality and really well priced. The VAT process is also great. If you're an American and have a VAT form just get your a copy of your receipt and both of the. "VAT stamped" and end the end of the month you can bring all of your receipts in to get reimbursed the taxes. It's awesome. I love their fresh breads, produce, and butcher. As someone who is still learning German, it was a little scary trying to overcome that language barrier but the staff is (almost) always friendly and encouraging. Shopping here has also greatly improved my German which is exciting!

This place was great! They had excellent fresh baked breads and almost everything we were looking for. Apparently peanut butter is not a German staple. I was extremely excited to find a particular cheese we only get at our home grocery store seasonally, and at $12 a container. Here they had a small section of it for only 4,83€ for the same size! We also got some rather tiny glass jars of Nutella for stocking stuffers. The staff was very kind and several of them spoke English, which was very helpful. The cashier was also very patient with me. The carts are a surprising upper body work out, as they have four rotating wheels rather than the standard two we typically use in the states. We will need to come back to try the restaurant.

This place is huge!!
I went looking for coconut flour.. found it! But her it was expensive! Double of what I usually pay.
Went browsing around and wow!! This really is like a Walmart! Everything you can think of they sell here! From clothes to food to school supplies to shoes... I could easily spend a whole day here
Their meats department looked pretty stocked. There's small 2-5€ cheeses and tapas near the meats dep.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mark L.Kaiserslautern, Rheinland-Pfalz181911071. Aug. 2018
It was a nice one stop shop. It was like a super Walmart but nicer. They had a small mall area outside of the main store and places to eat. Of course everyone had a beer on the table. The lines were a bit slow and nothing is in English so beware. Good place to check out.
