I flew 9 hours to Stuttgart and then drove 3 hours to Freiburg. I wanted to have a nightcap and go to my hotel to sleep. Upon arrival, I saw one open space at the edge of the bar, so I asked the two ladies if the place was free and they said yes, so I sat down. Unfortunately, the bar tender asked me if I had been seated, and I said I asked the two ladies if the place was free and they had no objection to me seating there. Then, this F-ing prick accused me of sitting next to the two chicks to hit on them!?!. I can't even fully recount how pissed I was at his accusation! Here I am a man of 61 years who is married for 39 years, tired from an exhausting flight looking to down a beer, being accused of trolling chicks!! I wish I had gotten his name so I could call him out! And then I asked him about his knowledge of Mr. Hemingway, and he was a complete dolt! It this jerk reads my review I hope he realizes what a complete jerk he was. instead of welcoming me to this country, he insulted me!

Best cocktail place in the city. Really friendly staff. Reasonable prices and good music.

Maybe it depends on the bartender working on the night.. But the lady making the drinks the night we were there was a wunderkind...
Best cocktail bar ever for quality of drinks, not many people around but it was a Tuesday... Reason alone to visit Freibourg..

One of the best cocktail bars I have ever been to anywhere in the world. Don't be fooled by the somewhat simple nature of this place. The bar staff are incredibly professional and friendly. More importantly the bar staff are experts, dedicated to their art. If you love cocktails, not to be missed.
