Dez. 2008Vorheriger BeitragThis is a great bookshop 3 floors of intellectual ink printed on wood pulp :
Seriously though, they've pretty much got every book you may need from toddlers to professors and they've also got books in English, French and Spanish.
There are some great areas with interesting seats where you can peruse the book of your choice at your leisure.
They seem to have a lot of staff who all know what their talking about. If don't they can at lest direct you to someone that does.
And yes this shop is also civilized as they have a Coffee shop where you can eat and drink will perusing your book. (Try not to spill stuff on the books or they will get upset and stamp their feet while asking you to pay for it).
The coffee shop is called World Coffee and took its lead from Starbucks before they came over here. It's a German company and in my humble opinion THE COFFEE TASTES MUCH BETTER! They also have muffins, cakes, ect. ect.
Anyway check it out for yourselves as its smack in the middle of the Fußgänger zone and a great place to take a break when it's raining.
You may even find that book you always wanted : - I. F.Greenville, Vereinigte Staaten3134415419. Juni 2012
This was just what I needed. I'd say this is a medium-sized bookstore chain, with a pretty nice feeling to it, though it is not as personal as a privately owned establishment. I was able to find German-language books on any subject, and there is a pretty good English-language section there, too. A nice selection of history, gardening, cooking, fiction, dictionaries like Langenscheidt, what must be the largest selection of Teubner cookbooks on earth, Dr Oetker cookbooks, and more. The employees were helpful and friendly and helped me hunt for a book title I wanted. The employees were kind of funny, actually. I was trying to speak German to them, but they gave me a blank look and immediately started speaking perfect English back to me. I must have been murdering their language and didn't know it, or have a horrble American accent, or both. Oh well. Spending some time in this place is a nice way to enjoy the evening, pouring over books, dreaming of things you'd like to do or places to see, learning about the larger world around you. This store is in Wiesbaden, Germany; I don't know why the address is shown in North Carolina. Enjoy.
