Hunsinger

Wenn man in München von Fisch spricht, sollte man zu seiner Aufzählung nicht nur den Fisch Witte nennen, sondern definitiv auch das Hunsinger, als Fischlokal!
Seit vielen Jahren, verwöhnt das Team um den Besitzer der selbst in der Küche kreativ ist, seine Gäste mit hervorragenden und niemals an kreativität nachlassenden Fischgerichten.

Schon vor einigen Jahren verschlug es mich nach einem Besuch in der Neuen Pinakothek, hier in das Lokal das sich im gleichen Gebäude, im Untergeschoss beim Brunnen befindet.
Nett, in einer Ecke die Terrasse vor dem Lokal, gemütlich mit dem Brunnen und rundum von Bäumen und Büschen eingewachsen. Von den grossen Strassen inkl. Trambahn die vorbeifährt, merkt man nichts sondern man sitzt ruhig und entspannt und kann sich auf die Genüsse konzentrieren.

Innen im Lokal, ist es etwas moderner. Fast gegenüber des Einganges, der Einblick in die hell erleuchtete Küche, davor die grosse Bar.
Der Gastraum, mit vielen kleinen sowie zu grösseren Sitzplätzen angeordneten Tischen. Abends gemütlich beleuchtet, ansonsten jedoch sehr nüchtern und modern, wenig Kunst und wenig Dekoration, was mir persönlich sehr gut gefällt.

Aber jetzt zum wichtigstem, dem Essen.
Seit meinem ersten Besuch, liebe ich die Fischsuppe, aber vorsicht die Bouillabaisse nehmen, wenn man eine klassische klare Suppe möchte. Die Hunsinger Fischsuppe ist eine Fischcremesuppe mit Einlage und sozusagen eine Interpretation des Hauses, mit dem Hauptgeschmack an Safran. Die Hausinterpretation ist gut, aber die Bouillabaise ist perfekt.
Ansonsten kann ich durchweg, die Tageskarte oder auch die Standardkarte empfehlen, da ich alles was ich bis jetzt dort gegessen habe, jederzeit wieder essen oder auch weiterempfehlen würde. Angenehme und gute kombinationen aus verschiedenen Fischsorten oder Meeresfrüchten, mit Gemüse oder Reis.
Explizit etwas herausstellen möchte ich nicht, da ich alles sehr sehr gut empfand.

Somit für mich in München "Fisch - siehe "H" wie Hunsinger"

And had a wonderful fresh sandwich each. The entrance is just a mirrored door off the cloak area. You might miss it. But inside is a pleasant spacious
Dining area. Maybe 20 tables and a nice WC. We felt lucky to get such a nice start on the day..

This is the restaurant in the "Neue Pinakothek" and they are open from lunch through dinner with an adapting menu. It has been around for a few years now.
From the outside, the place is not easy to spot, but it is really worth looking for.

I would not call their menu selection "mediterranean food", but rather "French-Asian fusion" with a stress on French and fish / seafood, even though they have some meat dishes as well. They serve only fresh-caught fish / seafood, no aqua culture.

We went there for dinner as a party of 4 and had winter salads with prawns, fish plate, seafood pasta (vongole), chicken curry and some desserts. The food was excellent quality, very well prepared and very well presented, delicious! It came on truly warm plates where appropriate and the waiter service was absolutely perfect. Good choice of wines, wonderful desserts, very good espresso.
The owner / chef came by and asked whether we were satisfied in a very pleasant but low-key way.
It seems to also be a good place for fresh oysters, as s French customer came just for that while we were there.

This is not the place to go when you want a fast, cheap meal but it is a very good choice if you are looking for excellent seafood and fish, high quality food and a matching ambiente / service. The price is appropriate for what you get and in that sense, I will attest the owner and chef that they deliver great value for money. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful dinner on a Saturday night. The tuna carpaccio combined sour and wasabi into a delicious combination. For the main course I had stuffed scallops, which were a pleasant departure from scallops cooked in butter. My guests had a sea-ray fillet with early sparga. The owner / executive chef took time to visit our table and personally checked to see that it met our expectations.
