So far the best food in Germany! I was out running hopped a train unexpectedly and went from Stuttgart to the old city of Esslingen and sure glad I did!

My waiter Davida was kind and helpful! I ordered the goat cheese salad and a rose with soda water! Highly recommend both!

Hands down, best Pizza in Germany!!! I dont know what they put in it but from the crust, dough, sauce cheese it is a superb bb composition of beauty!! Staff always super nice and professional. Dining during Corona hasn't stopped this place. They have mandatory hand sanitizer and a sheet to fill out for contact tracing. They are playing it safe and it's appreciated. I love the pizza and pasta but because the pizza is perfection I have to get that. Wine selection is solid. Dessert and apps are lovely and flavorful. You cant go wrong here. Treat yourself. Prices are excellent for the quality you get. I may not he able to go to Napoli but this is the next best!!

Four stars for location, location, location!! To be able to sit outside on a beautiful sunny day in Germany with ducks and swans swimming by on a peaceful stream, beautiful over-flowing flower boxes, orange trees, centuries-old half-timbered buildings, and vineyard lined hills as your backdrop, this dining experience is almost surreal...it feels like a fairytale! After hiking the Esslingenr Burg vineyard hill, I was starving. The restaurant seems to be open all day. I had the Caprese pizza. It was huge, fresh, and delicious. The clientele at the restaurant was great. Service was friendly but not very attentive. (I wanted a coffee and dessert... I had to ask for a menu and there was no follow-up.) The manager said they would not allow customers to charge their phones at the restaurant. The inside is cozy for a cold German night! www.losteria.de

Outstanding location, perhaps the only thing outstanding about the restaurant. The food is OK, doesn't disappoint if you expect average italian. Pizza is good, everything else is a big "Eh". The real killer though was the incredibly slow service (we waited for 30 minutes before being served a beer, even after walking up to the bar). If you have a ton of time to kill and don't mind having super slow food or drinks, it's fine.

Fantastic pizza and variations of pizza. One must open their minds to what pizza can be to fully enjoy the style of pizza. I was sad to not be able to try everything on the menu. However, the tortellini was fantastic, as well. Left feeling satisfied in my meal.

Good food very bad service. Gave it two chances and both times disappointed. Not coming back - ever.

This was one of our favorite dining experiences during our trip. The food was delicious, but what really made it was the special attention the waitstaff gave our toddler, who can be a little crazy. They learned he liked cherry tomatoes and kept bringing him bowl after bowl! If we're ever lucky enough to be back in Esslingen, we will definitely eat here again!

I've been here twice and as a New Yorker. The pizza was excellent and I'd consider it New York style.

Ambience to me is a family friendly location for good pizza and pasta.

Apparently a new restaurant to this quaint, beautiful town of Esslingen. Surrounded by water on 2 sides. Casual, well priced, and the perfect start to our Germany experience. Had a great seat overlooking the water outside on a well managed patio. In typical fashion started out with a great beer and also had a piece of Pizza. What a great piece of pizza. As an American I have learned that in Europe, do not be in a hurry. The meal is important and a time to relax. I think some think of this as slow service. I think it is just a different way to live. And I think I like it. What a great experience. My cousin, who was hosting my wife and I, brought us and he said he frequents it because it is reasonable, high quality, and a great location. I agree. Thanks Cuz!
