Landhaus Kössel

I stayed here with Astrid's group for a week in December, and was very pleased with the accommodations. I was in the main house, room 2, and it had a beautiful view of the Alps. The bed, being the most important part of any hotel room, was extremely comfortable. The bathroom, while small, served its purpose, and there was a small sitting area should you have time to lounge around.

I was quite disappointed that staff unplugged the small refrigerator twice during my stay, allowing the food I had inside to spoil. The refrigerator was provided by the hotel, in the room when I arrived, so if they preferred it be plugged into a different outlet, it should have been moved, and replugged-in - not simply unplugged. However, the wonderful breakfasts offered downstairs more than made up for this small mishap.

Wifi could definitely be improved, as I had to log back in even just after walking over to the windows. Others in my groups experienced the same - very weak connection, even in the main house. But, you're not coming down to Hopfen to sit in your room and browse the news. :)

If you stay here, do your best to fit in a sunset walk around the lake. At a fast pace, it'll take about 1.5 hours, so you might want to budget two hours... but it's worth it.
