Las Vegas Nails

Das "Las Vegas Nails" ist ein kleiner Salon in asiatischer Hand mit zwei Maniküreplätzen, einem Pedikürestuhl und einer Liege im Hinterraum.

Das Ambiente hat mir leider gar nicht gefallen: Zeitschriften von 2015, wellige Plakate mit Wasserrändern im Schaufenster, dazu Hip Hop vom Notebook.

Während der Pediküre fing die Mitarbeiterin auf einmal an, in ihrer Muttersprache privat zu telefonieren. Außerdem wurden mehrmals persönliche und telefonische Gespräche mit Kunden geführt.

Die Pediküre war naja:
die Füße standen dauernd im Wasser (das finde ich unangenehm, kenne es so nicht und halte es auch für überflüssig).

Dass man die Seiten (!) der Füße mit dem Hornhauthobel bearbeitet, geht gar nicht!

Unterlack wurde nicht verwendet. Und getrocknet wurde der Lack mit einem kleinen Kaltluftventilator.

Nachdem gleich nach mir die nächste Kundin drankam, konnte ich die Hygienemaßnahmen beobachten. Ich habe nicht gesehen, dass desinfiziert wurde.

Die Nagellackauswahl war gut und mit dem Ergebnis der Behandlung bin ich zufrieden.

Die Mitarbeiterin war freundlich, aber ich werde wegen des fehlenden Wohlfühlfaktors nicht mehr hingehen, auch wenn der Preis für eine Pediküre mit 25 € günstig ist.

Definitely a fan -- I docked one star because I'm pretty sure the technician didn't sterilize the cuticle clipper before using it on me, which kind of freaked me out. Had I felt more confident / the communication barrier not been so high, I would have inquired -- or even insisted -- about this.

I wanted to try shellac for the first time; Dinh (the technician and owner) is very skilled and friendly, and if the manicure continues to wear as well as it has so far (I got a Shellac treatment for €15 and it's flawless on day 3) I'll be amazed!

Unfortunately I'm not comfortable with the hygiene of nail salons in general, so this was a great first experience but I'm planning to invest in shellac supplies to use at home.

That said, the price and the quality are unbeatable in my neighborhood, and this unassuming little shop is definitely a good find.

Decent manis and pedis and one of the best prices I have seen in Munich. Not lux and the chemical smell I could do without but owner is very sweet and does an ok job.
