I love this department store. It's at the top end of shopping and they carry a ton of high street fashion for the whole family.
They have good service, huge selection and the quality is also good. They have many of the top brands and of course price tags to match.
This shop has seven floors comprised of fashion, beauty and lifestyle, allowing you to discover something new every time you visit.
They offer a personal shopping service for busy people and can deliver complete outfits to your office or home in case you are really stuck.
I have been here a few times and bought a few things here. I love coming here for a browse now and again.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Victoria M.Foster City, Vereinigte Staaten2041822. Apr. 2018

Nice store but very pricey. To me, it's priced like Saks but the merchandise is more like Macy's (to give Americans a frame of reference).
Service was nice and they had a great selection, but 50 euro for a belt??? Sheesh, Ludwig, if you're going to screw me like that at least buy me dinner or a drink before hand. I do like the belt, though.
They have a subterranean entrance so you can enter right from the U Bahn without going outside.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 24710011312. Aug. 2012
You'd think all I do in Munich is shop and eat, and you'd be right!
Great store, the staff so helpful and attentive and boy do they know their merchandise! If this store doesn't have it you probably don't need it.
Check this place out, you'll be glad you did.
Enjoy!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Sheenal S.Melbourne, Australien19565716247. Jan. 2016
This shopping centre reminds me of Myers or David Jones in Australia but my travel companions tell me it's a lot smaller. Apparently myers has 8 floors in Sydney (?! I lived in Sydney and don't remember it like that).
Anyway, Ludwig Bek had five floors of which three to four floors are devoted to women's clothing and accessories. Pretty bizarre.
The ground floor sells fragrances, creams, makeup and also sells scarves, beanies, and gloves.
This shopping centre sells pretty high end stuff unlike David Jones and Myers. Beanies start at almost 39 euros and most gloves are made out of leather and have cashmere in them; hence, they cost anywhere between 70 euros to 159 euros, which is slightly reduced when there is a 30% reduction on some items.
Level four houses women's coats and jackets. I looked at the price tag of one and it was 1000 euros after a discount!!!!
However, my fingers have been icy cold since Venice and even doubling up on gloves hasn't helped. Buying new over priced pair of gloves seemed justified.
The staff were very helpful in advising me on the different types of gloves, their material and what would be appropriate for the weather and my budget.
I liked the shopping centre and the service. However, I need to make more money to be a regular customer.
Also you can claim the tax back at the airport. Make sure you ask them for a tourist tax form. :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rachel S.Philadelphia, Vereinigte Staaten551091267. Aug. 2014
This department store seems and feels never-ending, and that's perfectly okay with me!
With an easy to find location right on the Marienplatz, you can't miss this towering bastion of shopping fun!
The women's and men's clothing occupies floors upon floors upon floors of stylish offerings. Contemporary, casual, evening wear, accessories--you name it. My husband actually discovered several pairs of jeans here on our last visit and at very reasonable prices, particularly given the quality.
That's not to suggest that you COULDN'T spend a pretty euro here, because Ludwig Beck definitely offers the finer things in life. Their home departments are enchanting and full of delightful things--from fine paper to fine china. The cosmetics department is amazing, with all the best brands well represented.
I look forward to a return visit to scope out more treasures! A fun place to window shop as well.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Alison C.Northern California, Vereinigte Staaten0200123. Okt. 2019
To echo the sentiments of some other reviewers here, this was my favorite department store. It was my first introduction to Ludwig Beck as we were visiting the touristy Marienplatz. So glad I decided to venture into Ludwig Beck because they have such exclusive brands and the offerings are casual but well-made elegance. I don't find them to be low end like Macy's no way; in fact, I'd say the nearby Galeria Kaufhof is definitely reminiscent of Macy's. Ludwig Beck is, IMO, a combination of Saks and Barneys. Prices are on the higher end though, but the quality is high too. From what I could tell almost all of the products are made in Germany. If not, they're from other neighboring W. European countries, Scandinavia, and the US. Favorite departments are the women's sweaters and accessories. Could spend hours in this shop! And the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

A great department store. I was looking for a prom dress for my daughter and the sales woman was very helpful. She brought us dresses in her size and gave us suggestions....of course my daughter didnt like what she picked but never the less, we bought a beautiful dress. A great selection of everything and a bit more upscale than other department stores around.

A huge department store and Munich institution that every Bavarian knows for its slogan "Ludwig Beck am Rathauseck" (Ludwig Beck on the Town Hall corner. It rhymes. What can I say. )
The pretty modern and well-presented shop has a great variety of just about everything you would expect, especially clothes, household and decor items. You may spend a few more Euros here than at a discounter, but the selection is huge and the atmosphere, whilst impressive at first, is actually pretty pleasant and friendly. Unless you are elbowing your way through the pre-Christmas rush of course.
Don't try to get there by car. Just hop out of the U-Bahn at Marienplatz, or walk there from a nearby stop.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
